Wasn't the reason I decided to "main" Linux Mint but it has been extremely well-mannered when it comes to gaming. I've been able to install and run - giver or take a Flatpak or two - everything, games, launchers, utilities so far. LMDE which I like very much as well could be a little bit more restrictive for gaming on Linux. If Mint ever switched to Debian stable, I hope it could come up with some solution for extensive hardware compatibility, let's say in the same manner with MX's HWE editions.

Quoting: GuestI'm a heretic that thinks 2 was better in about every wayI agree with the spirit of the statement. I wouldn't however agree with "in about every way". NWN2 simply had abysmal performance on the best GPUs of the day. One of the worst games I've ever played in this respect. Only Guild 2 was more terrible.

Lutris's holistic approach suits me. It has pioneered many things we now take for granted with the crowd of wine-prefix managers and game launchers currently available on Linux. However support for some "runners", especially emulators, and stores is wanting. Lutris keeps adding features and losing track of em :dizzy:

Huge fan of Lutris. Yet I always wondered what on earth is going on with that flatpak runner. Now it's clear. It was just work-in-progress.

Heroic Games Launcher happened to be a project I've been following since its early stages. I admired the way Flavio and his team interacted with the Linux gaming community. Thoughtful choices, early adoption of new tools, user-friendliness to the core. It has won us a small sweet "revenge" against Epic Games and their anti-Linux stance. Congrats, mates! Keep up the amazing job you're doing.
