I've read that GMS2 already fixes this oversight, but not every dev uses it since:

Quoting: ShmerlHm, why would they depend on obsolete GTK? Current day games should not do that. They don't, to be honest at some point we started referring to this package as a metapackage that will pull a lot of crucial 32 bit dependencies while installed... and it kinda stuck :P Wouldn't be a problem if GameMaker Studio 1 offered export to 64 bit Linux.
I've read that GMS2 already fixes this oversight, but not every dev uses it since:
- it requires a separate paid license
- it's majorily different compared to the previous version
Pizza Connection 3 is out with day-1 Linux support, some initial thoughts

Sadly, the Linux version does suffer from a Unity bug that multiple other titles are having issues with. Input you type is doubled up, meaning "This" becomes "TThhiiss" which makes it a nuisance to name things (...) The same happens when entering text anywhere, like saving a game or naming a Pizza, so it's a little annoying.Pleased to inform that this issue is already resolved in the latest version of the game which should be available for download from GOG.com today :)
Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy is out with Linux support, mod tools and constant patched improvements

Our official support policy (including refund policy) is limited to Ubuntu and its derivatives since that's the distribution we use for testing games released on GOG.com. It's also the system that we established our support methodology for, such as troubleshooting procedures. That said, we are always willing to provide at least consultation for other distributions users. At the time of release we confirmed that Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy runs with Mesa drivers on Intel and AMD video cards that we use on regular basis for QA.
I talked to our customer support team about your ticket and I believe that there could have been some kind of misunderstanding on the line. Please contact us again so we can discuss a solution that will work out for you best.

Quoting: throghThanks for the feedback: I've bought the game and it is not working on a system with Intel Ivybridge as graphics interface. The support itself shows the "normal" feedback for not willing to help with real open and libre drivers on an derivate of Arch Linux. That was my last action in combination with GOG as a real unfriendly help for Linux! No need for more proprietary hardware working out for this game. :sick:Hello!

Quoting: throghIs there Unity used? Or another engine / framework? If Unity is within, this would be rather unsafe because of unwanted telemetry-data transferred. It's using Chowdren: http://mp2.dk/chowdren/ [External Link]

Quoting: Luke_NukemTyranny is 32bit only? In this day and age of 64bit CPU's which have been around since fucking forever (well, over a decade). The initial release was 32 bit only, but since then the developer provided a 64 bit binary as well :)

As a big fan of Jagged Alliance 2 I give this my stamp of approval :P In my opinion, despite being released in 1999, the game still looks and plays pretty nice, especially in high resolutions which are offered by Stracciatella.
