Getting Minecraft and mods on Steam Deck is nice and simple

Did you try the game with Fabric installed? Using the mods Sodium, Lithium and Phosphor should grant some insane performance improvements, and you can play on vanilla servers without any issues. Or are these the mods you tried out?

Ludusavi seems like a pretty good open source game save backup tool

YES! I'm giving this tool a try as soon as I'm home! I've lost so many save files during distro-hopps or clean installs that I can't even... Backing them up manually is a chore, so this might save my ass 😎😁 go FOSS 😍

I've been playing DRAG, and it's been great fun! Playing online is very fun, but there are some weird lagspikes every now and then that seem connected to server performance.

Quoting: denyasisStill learning Star Ruler 2. It's such a fun game, I'm sad it didn't get more attention, especially with it being open source. Even weirder it doesn't seem to appear in repos.
Star Ruler 2 is opensource? That's awesome!

I recently discovered this, and It's so much more reliable than Steam! I absolutely love it, and I'm currently typing through it on my SC ;-D Using this FOSS just shows what potential this controller has as a whole. Steam Input should've been open-source to begin with tbh.

Direct IP multiplayer, Steam not required
That is basically begging for a GOG release. I still have my physical CD's of Wipeout 1 and 2097.
DRM-free, Direct IP, and Two player splitscreen with multi-monitor support? Insta-buy for me! More games should do all 3 of these things ;-D

Ie played this a bit with some friends, managed to gather a full crew. It's TONS of fun!
Quoting: DaidMain developer here. Not super actively working on it anymore.

However:
Currently, they're only providing packages for Windows and only "guarantee" support for Windows
Linux support is guaranteed to work, we run our setup on network booting linux systems. But there is not a pre-build linux version, because I didn't want to figure out how to best provide that.
I've gotta admit I' a bit let down by that :–/ As stated, I've truly had some great sessions with my friends. Was hoping there would be more content and pathes improving stability :–) But hey, It's completely free, Im grateful for that alone! I hope it will pick up pace once more at some point :–D

Quoting: tuubitake your pick. No Linux release, but it should run fine on Wine or Steam Play.
Just played through the game on my brand new Manjaro gaming-rig. It took me 5 hours, but I got through the game in one sitting! Bought it on Steam ^^ I felt like there was some input-lag or something, but I remember that from my childhood as well. Felt good to beat it once more ;-D
