Crusader Kings II: Holy Fury thunders its way towards release on November 13th

I am so exited about this one! This expansion brings us many nice features. (yeah..some of them "remind" me of ck2+ mod - but then again I, and other Linux users, had constant crashes when we tried it so..)

But there are also things that come for free along with this expansion..(as part of a free patch)

Crusades are changing A LOT as well. Check this Dev Diary [External Link]

Also.. we get a new character profile (DevDiary [External Link] along with changes concerning a character's personal combat skill..

We are (finally) getting "movement locking" (kinda like in eu4). So basically if your army spends more than half (I think) of the time required to move to a location, you can no longer cancel that movement. Yeah, not really a feature, but it will change some tactical decisions for sure.

etc..etc..far too many things to list. I would also advice checking the dev diaries (Holy Fury - DevDiaries [External Link]

This looks like its going to be one of the best expansions for ck2!!!

Although I am SUPER hyped for this one, I will """TRY""" not to preorder it.

And there I was..hiding in the shadows..waiting to strike at the very last moment with minimum effort..one could hear the evil "muhahahaha" laughter..it is SO fitting I thought..especially considering the nature of the game..and so I waited and waited..but then..suddenly..a notification (yes I was obviously silently/stealthy watching this thread - what question is that?)..everything collapsed. All this preparation.. There is an entry to the competition!!!..there is no way I thought..as I was trying to hit the notification link with my trembling mouse cursor..and then I saw it..I can never win against THAT!! ..you cheater!!!11!!!1!!!

er..in all seriousness..if there is only one key then I do not want it (not that I stood a chance), if there are more however..well..I'll be running for second place with..this..pathetic..and utterly disgusting drawing of mine that screams "not even an effort" from every single available angle..I guess I will get disqualified..but hey.. :P

Spoiler, click me

good luck Expalphalog !!!

PS: hopefully none will see or remember this in the future!

Quoting: SadLWhat I see is a massive 30% still using Windows 7. This might be our ticket to success. We got one year to improve Linux gaming. Windows 7 EOF is January 2020. If we could get even 1/10 of those users.
Aren't most of these people Chinese? If so, they almost certainly won't switch to Linux.
Yeah you are correct about that, but I still see many non-Chinese gamers using Windows 7. Even if they are not 30% but 10% or even a bit less, they are still a group that will have to make a choice sooner or later and they are also a group of people who chose not to upgrade to Windows 10 for 3 years.

PS: Proton is good but needs to get better (yes yes..I know its in its infancy). For example, I would really like scripts being introduced. Let users create scripts to tweak proton(or the game options) in order to run games, and then submit those scripts to valve for testing in order to make them official. Or..something..we need to gain momentum.

Village building god sim 'Rise to Ruins' had an absolutely massive update

Confession: The amount of times I wishlisted this game..and then removed it after a wishlist-clean up is unbelievable. I think I have to finally check some gameplay videos and give it a chance. There is obviously a reason I keep wishlisting it..

Another glass please, Wine 3.16 is out, fixes issues in multiple games like Overwatch and Warframe
14 Sep 2018 at 7:52 pm UTC

Always nice to see WINE going forward. LOTS of ground to cover but the constant progress fills me with hope! Hopefully fixes will keep coming and keep getting integrated into Proton.

PS: It's kinda funny that they are mentioning fixes for Overwatch (We have a small crisis with some Blizzard bans atm).
