I am also a huge fan of the old X-COM series (I also played the first of new ones and enjoyed it). Seeing that crab-man brought memories from terror from the deep (maybe some PTSD as well). This game was not on my radar, actually I had NO idea it existed. I am not pre-ordering anymore, but oh boy..I am SO HAPPY it comes to Linux!
PS: Hopefully it will also bring some of the elements left behind when the remake came out (multiple bases / multiple base defences using the actual base layout as a map / multiple alien bases ...etc...etc..).

I usually like these games but I do not have the time needed anymore. I cannot guarantee I'll really play it so I will have to pass since someone else might need the key.
Also glad to see giveaways!

Quoting: noxActually, @SadL. The puzzles are randomized to some degree, so it's worth playing through it at least once on each side and then one more time for the full good ending :) For the price, that's some solid fun!Yes there is some randomization going on, but the "way to solve" the puzzles remain the same(hopefully I am not mistaken here) so there isn't really replayability in my eyes at least(apart from switching sides). I have no idea what you mean by saying "full good ending" ..but I guess its a spoiler thing. I will agree with your last sentence though. It can be a really funny experience and if you find a willing friend it's worth it.

The problem with this game is that it's a one-off. Yes it can be really funny and entertaining to complete (might lose a friend in the process but hey..). And that's it. The only thing you can do after finishing it is to switch sides with your friend.

There was one particular moment involving a stairwell that was vanishing before me, with me relying on Samsai being able to solve a puzzle based on what little information I could provide to him. That moment was epic indeed! (that and the scare-jump into lava)
It took a long time to get through that one "Go left, then right—NO I SAID LEFT" and repeat.oh yeah..and that reminds me..sorry for flooding twitch chat with "up down right etc"
In the end, I wanted to try something which resulted in a gate opening for Samsai, naturally he took it to freedom leaving me to rot alone—that's friendship for you!really Samsai? really?

Huge fan of the series, so I'm on board! I was getting worried about the new total war titles..this announcement is reassuring! Pleasantly surprised also by the "shortly after Windows" quote!
PS: I am also waiting for warhammer 2..

Can you hear that? It's the Steam sales train and it's arrived, also Steam Wishlist revamp

Well..someone should also point out that there are sales at paradoxplaza, so if you are missing a paradox DLC you want, you can check there first. Old DLCs get a 50% discount as they do on steam, but you also get the 3 for 2 deal so it can get up to 66% discount (not to mention that paradox gets all the money). Personally will try to complete my CK2 collection.
As for steam sales.. I am also getting the old Tomb Raider..yes..I didn't have it..you can shame me if you want..
PS: still a little worried after reading yesterday's news about paradox (yes the publisher not the developer..but still..)
