is there any chance we will get full controller support like the console versions?

Glad to hear...this game runs so flawlessly through proton that I forgot it wasn't already native. My kids and I have had a blast playing through it while I give my video game history lessons.

Sweet 2D adventure and crafting game 'Forager' just got a nice free update

this was a game on my list, but no gamepad support? Is it something that you can easily work around with a steam controller, or is it just broken and planning on being fixed later? I might have to keep waiting this one out if there are gamebreaking (for me at least) bugs.

The dev of "Marble It Up!" had intriguing words to say about the native vs Steam Play argument for a Linux version

Quoting: MohandevirAll I would like to see is the studios' commitment to Steamplay in an official way.

Kind of: "This game will be Steamplay certified following the guidelines supplied by Valve."

This could be a good start.
Completely agree. I dont care how the game runs as long as it runs without me noticing or having to configure anything(i.e. I click run, and it well...runs). We all consider the witcher 2 to have a linux version, but my understanding is that its just a wine wrapper. The reason I go with linux native first is that I've been burnt before with games that dont run properly in wine....but I also completely understand that linux ports require resources that many studios just dont have resources for. It would be a lot easier if the developers could support steam play and let valve worry about the linux side of it, but I need to see some sort of icon on the steam store letting me know it will work....protondb is great, but I cant base purchasing decisions on 9 out of 10 random people on the internet say it works. The steam whitelist is a great start, but it has like 15 random games on it at the moment.

The latest Steam Client Beta fixes Rumble support on Linux with Steam Input
24 May 2019 at 12:41 am UTC

rumble with the steam controller is partially working in boarderlands 2 (it works with melee combat, but not when im hit or when I fire a gun). I also tried rocket league and horizon chase, but it didnt work there. Xbox one and switch pro controller rumble continues not to work for me on any of the previously listed games.

For what its worth, everything was tested wireless through a steam link, so there might be more to my issue than for others.

The big update to Dead Cells is out offering custom game modes and more

FYI, you dont need to install SC controller, just set your steam desktop configuration to generic controller or xbox or whatever, when the steam overlay "crashes" it will default to the desktop layout.

Dead Cells, one of my favourite releases this year has a major testing build up

just found a workaround for this if you dont want to install sc controller:
Under the controller settings change the desktop settings layout to something like generic controller
It seems that the steam overlay is "crashing" and when it does it defaults to the desktop settings.

of course, this will affect anyone using a steam controller to control their desktop, but if you run in big picture mode or through a steam link, it shouldn't matter.

The Linux version of Moonlighter should be out soon, in the 'last stage'

very excited about this one, I was eagerly awaiting its day one release and was disappointed when the linux icon disappeared at the last minute. I'm happy that its coming to linux, and one of the devs stated they are a linux user as well, so I wont hammer them on the delay. My frustration has been hearing "coming soon" with no mention of what that means (hours, days, months). A rough timeline would have been greatly appreciated. Hopefully by very soon, they now mean a few days to a week.

I've been using vulkan in the beta branch with no issues on radv, it fixes the lighting issues with gl on the open source drivers.

Just wondering how you got this to be a sofa game. Using a steam link, it crashes with the -vulkan option, and without it I get the dreaded green screen.

It's not a huge deal for me since I figure that eventually it will be fixed, so I'll play it when I can play it from the couch (although the developers told me they are not supporting the steam link at this time, which is odd since the steam link should not require "support"). In the meantime my 8 year old son is loving it.

I've had my eye on this game for a while, but I just picked up AER when it went on sale two weeks ago. How does this game differ from AER: Memories of Old? They both seem to be flying/exploration/light puzzle solving. I like that innerspace seems to have upgrades/progression, but are they both primarily flying/walking simulators, or are they different enough to be worth it?
