The move to mumble is definitely in the cards to happen soon. We are working it out. Google hangouts is being used a temporary solution. Until the Mumble details are sorted out.

Quoting: imdan12It's also better to make a video interview.
The simple answer we came to is we are going to keep it audio only. As cheese said, an edited video podcast just adds to much overhead. However, should there be interest from listeners to watch a live stream of the show when we do recording that is a possibility. But there will be no edited video podcast.

Quoting: HadBabitsSo is there a thread or IRC that you guys chat in? And when is the next episode; this Saturday or next?

I don't mean to spam the comments, though I'm admittedly excited about this podcast business :D (although it's perfectly fine if I'm not selected as a co-host ^_^)
Send me a pm on here and we'll get it set up.

Quoting: HadBabitsIt'd probably help if there were some discussion prior gathering some topics, and setting a target end time.

Having a decent commute to work, I frequently enjoy a few podcasts (Jim Sterling's Podquisition atm). The structure I've seen them follow on average is:

1. Introduction
2. Topics
3. Listener questions
4. Sign off/Plugging (e.g. "you can find me at X doing Y)
Generally the structure right now is as follows:

1. Introductions
2. Topics
3. Listener questions should there be any *only done 3 episodes so haven had much in this spot*
4. Sign off

The recording length for the show is usually about 2 to 2 and half hours. This one went much longer than it normally does. The other Co-hosts and I were getting caught up on things so it added to the length. Now as far when the shows actual recording time of 2200 UTC on Saturdays, that was chosen as it worked best for the current crop of hosts. but the time is flexible to change to accommodate other people.

Quoting: WorMzySorry if this is covered in the podcast, but picking a Valve game for 'episode 3', conscious choice y/n? :P
It was made as it was a game we could all play together and give our impressions on. Something we have all found is that our Steam libraries for games is quite different between each of hosts. So we look for games we all have so we can give our impressions of them.
