Yaayy I was mentioned! Hahha Love GOL community

Yeah this game is amazing. Scary as hell, I went back after playing it back then and geezz, some scenes you see on it you wonder WHAT THEEEE. It's truly gruesome compared to games who try to be scary and bloody today, they can't reach that level.

Also if you have the original and some features like splitscreen and better multiplayer doesn't interests you, the based on Eduke32 is the BEST way to play besides this port. I would even say better than this port on some things people are noticing.

For myself I will get it when on sale and reaching Linux to get the splitscreen part, I play a lot of these games here and would love to deathmatch hahaha

Pyramid of Prophecy, the first DLC for Heroes of Hammerwatch is out

I got Heroes of Hammerwatch and it's really big on depth on progression and RPG-like items etc. I just don't like how they don't have local multiplayer like the first one I loved to play with 4 players on the same PC, it was fun.

Swordfighter 'Blade Symphony' has now officially gone free to play

RaabenI bought this a while back and have never been able to get it to start, even after updates. Trying to launch in Steam always has it show Running for a split second before quitting. Manually launching it results in

AppFramework : Unable to load module!
Unable to load interface VCvarQuery001 from, requested from EXE

Looking at the Steam forum, I'm definitely not alone but no working solution seems to be there. Shame, I've really been wanting to give this a try.

I also have the same issue on Fedora with AMD Open Source drivers, already messaged the devs on Discord waiting for a fix

NBlood, an open source port of the classic FPS 'Blood' using EDuke32
22 February 2019 at 7:22 pm UTC

It's really good, as it runs on the Eduke32 engine that preserves Build Engine originality and runss smooooth. I played and it's great, finally I can play this not on Dosbox and with more configurations possible like AA, RES, etc.

PS: Fedora users with Midi problems: Get timidity++ and use Arch wiki way of setting the path to where you want your soundfont from freepats website.

DUSK, the popular retro-inspired FPS now has a Linux testing build up, out for everyone next week

I got a key from a giveaway El Oshcuro did at GOL Discord, have to thank that .

Game is AMAZING like I thought it would be.
I was on my seat for the Linux version for some time and even saved money to get it (Looking at you Insurgency Sandstorm!) all the photos and hype on social media was killing me hah. I'm totally getting a second and third copies for the multiplayer with my bros.

Quick review, but it's scary and tense in the right way that you keep playing wanting more. Like a Horror Action Suspense Thriller movie. Gameplay is so fluid you get immersed.

With Ion Maiden and Dusk on Linux we can say we have both of the best "Duke/Quake" games of our era 100%.

Talking point: What are you playing this weekend?

Insurgency as always. And some Paladins on Proton because it works and it's fun
