That is actually how it is supposed to look. The D9VK version looks almost the same as it does on Windows. The Linux version is way too bright and has no fog apparently.

Edit: Added a second video to also compare, on a different map, along with some slight adjustments to the wording in places to accommodate it.

but it still explains why native is slower
and imho... i think native looks much better

does the ubuntu version need a Mesa Driver to install ACO ontop of or its compiles with everything or do i have to install Mesa then install ACO ?

just add valves PPA, but make sure you havent another mesa PPA installed. purge the old one first

In DX9 mode, the game works perfect with d9vk... and with 60fps, unlike the dx11 mode that is capped at 30fps.

seems to be an nvidia problem not DXVK, or proton

and i wouldnt say my 580 is powerful. it is a nice card, but mid end

Supraland uses vulkan. at least galium hud doesnt work, so it is not opengl

vsync makes performance worse, but "max fps 60" gives me 60fps

i tried shadow of the tomb raider DEMO latley with valves ACO mesa. it runs pretty nice.... if feral doesnt tell a release date soon i am gonna buy it at next sale

it ist like F2P games. ANNO ONLINE comes in my mind. a lot of people spend a lot of money and now it is gone forever
or BATTLEFIELD HEROES... it was ahead of its time, but now it is gone with all ingame purchases

i kinda like the idea of streaming all games whenever i want to, without installing first
that is why i hope valve brings out a streaming service
i want both. downloading games i play often, streaming games i play once in a while
