Quoting: dpanterDo people actually play EtG with a controller? :S:
Oh god no, I switched to mouse pretty quickly.
I got way too used to playing Ruiner on a controller, so this one has been controller for me the whole time.

I lose track of my cursor or character too fast without it.

Slightly off-topic, but has ANYONE been able to get force-feedback/rumble working on their controllers? I can get it working via Jtest, but I am starting to think that most games don't support it.

Lutris has a third beta available for the big 0.5.0 release

Out of curiosity does anyone know how this GoG feature handles game updates? Like can it/will it notify you when there is an update? Or will it let you check for updates/apply updates to GoG games installed through this integration?

Quoting: deathxxxi have it all and can run with SteamPlay, but i want to run it with Lutris, with Wine Steam. Cannot pass all steps from Lutris installer. It installs Steam - windows version. And cannot download or backup from archive the game.
Just cannot do it...
I'm not beginner with Linux, but Lutris and wine makes me to look like very beginner.
I make it with CrossOver, Wine and PlayOnLinux.
I just give up. This will make me to lose so much time.
Ahhh I gotcha. Sorry for my own confusion. I was mistaken then about it running the Proton version. If you already have it working SteamPlay I can definitely understand not wanting to bother with something else.

Just in case you still want to launch it with lutris, not sure if this is the easiest way (a lot of guys here are more familiar with this stuff than me), but what I did:

Use "Add game" in Lutris, call the new game "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition," select the runner "Steam," and fill in the steam appid (489830 for SkyrimSE) under the "Runner" tab in the same box.

Best of luck man!

Quoting: deathxxxCannot install SkyrimSE, from Lutris installers. When steam tyring to fetch skyrim files, says: Content Servers Unreachable
And cannot download the game... Noting works like it should.
Just to make sure, you have Steam installed, enabled Steamplay, and you own SkyrimSE correct? (For Skyrim its just using the Steam Proton to run it).

Quoting: MayeulCMmm... Overwatch never worked for me with Lutris, which is a shame, as I got it from the humble monthly (by the way, destiny 2 is also free for a while on battle.net). The battle.net launcher works and updates the game, then... nothing.
I might have had to use the system Wine instead of the Lutris-provided one, also, to get the launcher running at all.
Similar problem here. The Battle installer pops up for me to log in but disappears almost immediately with Lutris telling me the game's installed :dizzy: This is on Arch with Lutris defaults.
I really hate to be the "Did you read the manual" guy, but there are very specific things you have to install to get battle.net and overwatch cooperating. Sadly, battle.net is not an amazing, easy, one-click install like other wine stuff on Lutris. Here's the specific instructions on the Lutris github wiki:
https://github.com/lutris/lutris/wiki [External Link]

Follow the instructions and install the dependencies in the wiki pages "How to: DXVK", "Game: Blizzard App", and "Game: Overwatch." All of them are required, including installing wine for your system (with your package manager).

Hope this helps!!

Quoting: deathxxxCannot figured out, how to install a game from install script??
https://lutris.net/games/install/8298/view [External Link]
"To install the game, download the full script."

So, what i need to do with this script?
If you have the Lutris client installed, you *should* be able to click install and the client will run the script for you.

EDIT: To my knowledge, everyone trying to work on Destiny 2 in wine/DXVK got banned from the servers...Just as a warning. I would love to hear that's not actually the case, but that's what I had heard. For anyone worried about Overwatch, the developers stated that wine/DXVK will not be an issue.

GOG have gone on the offensive with their new 'FCK DRM' initiative

Quoting: Alm888And my obligatory (so no one could say I am biased towards GOG and against Steam) "And what it has to do with Gaming on Linux?".

Seriously though, I think it is kinda dumb. Instead of improving its own quality GOG thinks it is OK to piss on others.
They preaching about DRM-free while at the same time forcing Galaxy towards everyone's throats.
Well, it's about "Gaming on Linux" ( "gaming" and "linux" ) You do see some updates on SteamOS ( which is not a game ) but is "Linux" and loosely tied to "Gaming." Likewise this is an update on "Gaming" and is loosely tied to "Linux" (anti-DRM).

I mean, if the community is interested in it ( which at the least I am ), then is it really necessary to have some backlash towards it?

Pardon the offtopic, but I immediately imagined your avatar saying something like "dear sir, i'd like to kindly request that you provide Linux support for your game".
"Please good, kind, handsome sirs at CD Project Red, it would be the greatest delight in my life to have the Witcher 3 ported to Linux.

now."

How could they say no? New game DEV strategy?

The Panorama UI for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is now live for everyone by default
6 Aug 2018 at 12:35 pm UTC

This also comes with fixes for the UI elements at 21:9 aspect ratios!!!! Amazing.

(Before when entering a game the old UI would be out of screen...so it would be hard to click "continue." and other annoying bugs like that).
