It's really a amazing work ! the developers are very approachable and easy to talk people. I think that a console experience is what linux need to get out of a niche and get into masses.

Quoting: TermyThanks for kind words ! I'm always open to suggestions.Quoting: benjamimgoisHey guys, thanks for the responses.Good to know, i'll take a look at it, thanks! :)
Saddly it depends of LCL librarys of lazarus enviroment. I don't like it either... A good solution is to use the Chaotic-AUR [External Link], it provides compiled versions of several FOSS, including goverlay, so you only have to download 6MB.
Quoting: benjamimgoisThe first alpha of goverlay was qt5 based, the theming become a little strange on some distros, so i switched back to gtk2. But i can make a new qt5 version to make a broader testing. As a KDE-User i'd love to see a qt5 version, too ^^
And thanks for your efforts, keep up the nice work :D

Hey guys, thanks for the responses.
Quoting: TermyGOverlay is pretty cool - having lazarus as a makedep is not so cool though...1.2GB for a Toolkit is a bit much (and then people complain about 9MB for KDE Framework ^^)Saddly it depends of LCL librarys of lazarus enviroment. I don't like it either... A good solution is to use the Chaotic-AUR [External Link], it provides compiled versions of several FOSS, including goverlay, so you only have to download 6MB.
Quoting: GuestAnd it depends from Gtk2, I tried to get rid of that! But I admit, the concept of this app is nice. The first alpha of goverlay was qt5 based, the theming become a little strange on some distros, so i switched back to gtk2. But i can make a new qt5 version to make a broader testing.

Quoting: SirLootALotIf they also add ryujinx emulator as a runner in the future, Lutris may possibly be the only thing I'll use to launch and manage games.Well the problem with this is that steam games (wine-steam) will count as windows user. I think it would be better to enhance the linux numbers and visibility if we use the native steam launcher and lutris for everything else.

Lutris is great ! Really a game changer for linux gaming. But i really think that such a big and important project (that now has epic funding) diserves a big interface overhaul. Something like the one we find on retroarch or steam bigpicture with controller support.

What a huge update for MangoHUD, really an obligatory app for linux gamers. I'm already integrating the new options into GOverlay. Should update it soon.

Thanks for the post Liam, actually my part is the easy one, the most complex work is done by Flightless Mango on the MangoHUD. There's already a AUR package for it, just look for goverlay-git

Quoting: TheRiddickWaiting on POP_OS to update them, it seems they operate very slowly and is starting to make me angry for trying pop_os because I can't test beta nvidia drivers and their stable release updates are slow. Same reason why I hated Manjaro really. My next DISTRO will be pure arch, maybe with a easy to use installer. On Manjaro/Arch Linux is very easy to update to the latest drivers, just add the Chaotic-AUR and they will be delivered to your package manager.
