Quoting: Segata SanshiroI bet any money that the extra 5% of people buying Windows games is made up entirely of people who couldn't resits and bought Fallout 4. Can't blame them really, we'll probably never see it on Linux, which makes me sad.Right with you there, i think the ones who will never turn to the "right" side are Bethesda and Blizzard, good riddance i don't really like their games anyway.

Quoting: stssWell yes, the EVE online aspect is sort of there, and i can see why it gets attention here because it has native support.Quoting: pr4vuscan't understand the hype. this really looks shit, nothing that hasn't been done (better) many times before. but each to his/her own.Around here it's probably because it's a native Linux mmo and we don't get a lot of those.
In general, I it's probably a combination of the PvP focused aspects and the guild warfare.
I think the map is like one big guild battlefield, and they can control cities. The controlling guild picks a time window in which it can be attacked so they know when to have guild members on stand by to defend.
I'm looking at this page: http://albiononline.wikia.com/wiki/Guild_vs_Guild [External Link]
It says there's 5v5 fights and 20v20
Plus it seems really sandboxy. You don't have levels, you just learn how to use gear and basically have to craft everything. Guilds can own islands, players can own housing, etc..
I think all that combined with fairly hardcore death penalties (drop everything if killed by a player) which some people like because high risk means reward feels all that much better.
So Albion seems rather unique all things considered. Unless I'm mistaken. At least I don't think any relatively recent mmo's have many of these features.

Garry Newman, developer of Rust & Garry's Mod on supporting Linux, possibly not for future games

loved gmod, it's super fun to just mess around in. Rust has a deep meta game, and is quite well done, even though the performance side has been shit lately the linux version runs quite well.
I just hope that Garry finds that Linux will be worth supporting, else we won't support facepunch in the future.

Yeh there is a lot of bashing on this gae that it's dull etc. IMO, it's a fun game that you can pick up for a few levels and then drop for a while. i like it, and it just turned up in my steam library :)
allthough it's doesn't run yet, but still....hope!

Pillars Of Eternity
Alien Isolation (literally and figurativley just bought it)
Don't starve together
Space Hulk
Transistor (Can't compliment this game enough.. totally beautiful)
Dying Light (it seems there still are FPS drops and Choppy gameplay on the linux port)
Also gonna try Not A Hero and the Shadowrun: Dragonfall expansion.
Happy gaming!
