Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is Steam Deck Verified but requires internet even for single-player

Surprised not to see (yet) some "I was interested but Denuvo" posts.
Then let me hook you up! Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is one of my favourite racing games and probably my favourite kart racer. After 13 years, I was excited to see a sequel getting made... but then I saw Denuvo mentioned and all that excitement just went poof.

Massive scale RTS game Ashes of the Singularity II announced for 2026

The first game was alright, but in the end I dropped it. I was not a fan of raising unit caps every few minutes. Just get rid of unit caps entirely and let me build my army without the busywork. I wonder if the sequel will change that.

Indie game character filled platform-battler 'Fraymakers' arrives January 18th

I can't stress enough how gorgeous the pixel art looks to me. Heck, I'd go so far as to say that The Watcher looks better in Fraymakers than she does in Slay the Spire. I really like that the sprites are large, too. I tend to lose track of small characters when there's a lot going on on-screen. And on top of all that, we're getting rollback AND on top of THAT, we're also getting a native Linux release. Yeah, I'm hyped!

Great, more unneeded cruft. On a related note, check out the Steam curator named Denuvo Games [External Link]. Their list of games that use and games that have stopped using Denuvo is pretty extensive. With this, I imagine the list is going to get much, much bigger.

Quoting: GuestI keep trying to support GoG, but they keep giving me less and less reason to.
Same here. I want to like them, but lately it's been screw-up after screw-up.

Quoting: TealAs if Unity3D or Source Engine or Unreal Engine were particularly inspired names.
I'll give you Unity3D and Source Engine. Those are admittedly pretty uninspired. But Unreal Engine makes sense, considering the company's naming history. I mean, at some point they were called Epic MegaGames, so it would make sense that Unreal Engine would follow their overcompensating naming scheme.

Cold.

Can you really blame developers for backing out of not releasing native linux versions given its less then %1 market share at the time?
What, did they not know about the 1% market share when they were coding D:OS and Dragon Commander? Offering Linux support and then backing out after a single game does, generally speaking, not engender good will in the Linux community, as it turns out.

Quoting: slaapliedjeCould have sworn there were a few worms games that released for Linux, but only found Worms W.M.D.

Would be sweet if we got more Team17 ports.
There's also Worms Reloaded and Worms Clan Wars. Not that I'm going to buy any of those any time soon, because I was really disappointed in W.M.D.'s Linux port. After almost four years this bug [External Link] is still around. It breaks Steam overlay, which is needed for inviting friends to multiplayer matches. My friends and I got so annoyed, we wound up switching to Hedgewars instead. It's not as flashy or feature-rich as W.M.D., but the multiplayer is pretty much hassle-free.
Ouch! Is it at least also affecting Windows? Then at least you can tell they don't give a shit about anybody, instead of just not giving a shit about us. :P
Responding horribly late, but no, it's not affecting Windows. It's just Linux users who are getting the shaft.

Bungie has more to say on Destiny 2 for Steam Deck and it's still a no
