You would think dropping Mac and Linux support would warrant a separate post, but no, it's better to bundle it in a fucking Q&A session where most people would miss it.

Oh hey, I remember this game! I played it back when it was a mod for UT99. I really like the map with the huge dam.
That said, I feel that this game is going to have a rough time, because it doesn't seem to differentiate itself enough from its main competitor: CS:GO. Looking at the Steam page, there are a few nuances here and there like the player moving at the same speed regardless of the weapon he's carrying (why the knife makes you go faster in CS:GO, I'll never know), but will it be enough to convince Joe Average to get this instead of playing CS:GO? I'm interested to see how this pans out.

Well, I did not expect to see the name Startopia again. Very interested to see if the sequel, reimagining or whatever this is, will live up to the original. Hopefully they'll sprinkle in some Douglas Adams-like humour as well.
Warfork, a fast-paced arena FPS based on Warsow is heading to Steam

Now this is a surprise. I thought development for Warsow ended in 2016, because all the devs disappeared. Good on them, I guess. I desperately want the twitch shooter genre to make a comeback.

Quoting: Smoke39Not really. It creates a backup archive, yes, but I believe it can only be extracted by the user who created it.Quoting: TheSHEEEPI'm all for Steam adding a simple "Download as installer/archive" button or something along those lines to DRM-free games in their storeIs that not what this does?

Keep that spotlight on. It looks like G2A isn't quite done making asses of themselves again:

From where I'm standing, it looks like G2A has a history of shady business practices, ignoring their customers and devs whose keys they sell and when they don't, they come off as arrogant and flippant. They also got in hot water with not one, not two, but three separate game companies: Riot, tinyBuild (twice) and Gearbox. That's not a good look, no matter how you slice it.

Quoting: GuestG2A (and other grey market sites) are not the problem, they are a symptom. The whole system is flawed and G2A are simply taking advantage of it. This misdirected anger will ultimately solve nothing. What system is that? I'm not being facetious, I'm genuinely curious. Are you talking about how G2A takes advantage of game keys being purchased by stolen credit cards? I hope not, because perpetuating the problem would be just as bad.

Yeah, I'm still going to go ahead and steer clear of Ubuntu. They may be backtracking now, but who knows what kind of radical change they might have in the pipeline.
I get it, certain people want to move away from 32-bit applications. I imagine a pure 64-bit OS might be a great boon for lots of user cases, such as servers, clusters, etc. Linux gaming is not one of those cases. I have a lot of 32-bit games and would like to keep playing them, thank you very much.
