Quoting: buckysrevengeSo they do! Well spotted. Still, I wish they'd mention Linux somewhere on their landing page, even if just in passing. I had almost written it off as a Windows-only game.Quoting: ixnariI might be missing something, but I don't see Linux support mentioned anywhere. They list Linux system reqs on the steam page
The game itself looks nice, though.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyThe voice-over in the video is trying too hard. We're headed for the supernatural vixen version of William Shatner school of acting, here.I thought you might be exaggerating, but oof. The premise and setting do interest me, though. A secret war between creatures of myth and legend being waged in the middle of a city? Count me in! Hopefully the voice acting improves or at the very least, I hope there is an option to turn spoken dialogue off.

Did the devs explain the multiplayer in greater detail anywhere? Asking because I want to get Parkitect on GOG, but if the multiplayer is gimped due to a reliance on GOG Galaxy, I'd rather get it on Steam.

Ooh, an RTS game. Haven't played one in a while. Ages, come to think of it. Last one I played was Warcraft III. This looks like it might scratch that itch. Wishlisted.

I tried it during the festival and it's fun! However, hearing Jon Bailey from Honest Trailers announce everything - and I mean EVERYTHING - got annoying super fast. Hopefully this will change by release.

Great news! I loved playing Spacechem when it came out (even if it did make me feel super dumb), but getting it to run was such a paaaaaain. This update should make the installation much more straightforward.

I've just finished DUSK. Before I bought it, I kept hearing how good it was, but it STILL caught me off-guard. I thought it was going to be one of those games that emulates an older title, but in the end winds up way worse or completely different from what you've imagined (looking at you, Strafe).
Not DUSK. At first glance you might think it's just Quake + Blood, but no, DUSK is its own beast. Everything is just so good: the movement, the soundtrack, the way the guns sound. I thought the level design was excellent too. The graphics look chunky, but then, they're supposed to, because DUSK is clearly a love letter to 90s FPS games. The only negative I can think of is that it takes quite some time to load on my PC, like over a minute. But that might just be me.
If anyone misses the likes of Quake, Duke Nukem 3D et al., they should give this game a shot. I would recommend going in blind, though, because this game has surprises and secrets galore.

If you have problems with the Paradox Launcher, there's now an open source alternative

This is a great find! When I found out Cities: Skylines added a launcher I was annoyed, because Steam already IS a launcher of sorts and it meant more cruft to click through to get to the game. AND, it meant you get advertised to twice: in the launcher and in the main menu in the game. Then there's Paradox's insistence that you log into your Paradox account. For a single player game. Why.
Then I found out about the telemetry baked into the launcher and I stopped being annoyed. I was, or rather, am now pissed off. I'll never look at a Paradox product again without thinking of what it might be doing in the background when I launch it. Paradox was already skirting on the edge of douchiness with their flood of DLCs for every single one of their products, but the launcher is a new low.
This new launcher, though, might get me back in the game. But I'll be honest, I'm on the lookout for the next great city sim that doesn't treat me like a repository of data to be harvested.
