You have to install directx9 with winetricks in the Proton game prefix...

Tacoma is an interesting experience, I recommend it if you like exploring environments and being immersed in a story.
Looks like both A Hat in Time and Gravel are coming to Linux, ports from Virtual Programming

Argh, I just finished AHiT on Proton. I would have waited, had I known...
The game is playable on Proton, but the performance is not great, so there's definitely room for this port to do better. It runs on DX9 though, so they probably won't be able to use Vulkan. Still very good news that it's coming to Linux, it's an excellent game.
