Fast-paced arcade combat-racing with RC cars 'PocketCars' adds Linux support

So, it seems that PocketCars needs a lot of optimization, but i’m not very confident, it’s Unity.
Anyway, i’ll test it later after several updates in a few months i suppose, and see how it goes then.
It doesn’t mean the game is bad in anyway (nor good), it’s only an engine feedback from a low-end PC owner.

Quoting: dpanterTo be honest, you're a good bit away from the recommended specs for PocketCars and pretty much spot on the recommended specs for Wreckfest.Yes, but that’s the issue. Wreckfest looks better and more complex, while at the same time, it runs better and it’s several years older. It should not be like that, at least not in my opinion of progress.

I tried it on a few tracks, it’s quite fun already, and the weapons add some more fun to the races.
However the perf are bad on my machine.
I’m playing Wreckfest via Proton, and it’s both prettier and smoother with more detailed and simu.
I hope they improve that part later (soon).

That’s an excuse to show you keyboards, or maybe on a specific topic ? Anyway, my keyboard since about 3 years.
I usually rebind all keys, to play with PUIE instead of WASD (and all associated gameplay keys then).
I have issues with very few games, and if i must, i just switch system layout to US keyboard.
And of course, to simply type texts, it’s awesome.
French keyboard are usually copied from qwerty, but azerty.
However, last year, the standardization office said there are 2 main layouts now : AZERTY and BÉPO.
BÉPO is "weird" so still quite niche, but playing Linux + indi games + being french, i guess being niche is my fate...

I bought Wreckfest a few days ago, as some friends are racing every week together.
It runs great via Proton, and i wonder how it compares with Dirt, if it does.
Road Redemption, i bought it several times over the years, refunded each time.
I expected it to grow some depth, but it’s way too arcadish-simplistic to be fun more than a couple of races.
Also full of glitch and weird physics behavior.
Last time i tried it was for testing the DLC with the not-Captain-America shield guy, and again it was fun but too shallow to think about playing more than a few hours.

Meal making automation in the Zach-like 'Neon Noodles' feels great

I still have to play it, but the first few minutes i didn’t like it much. I don’t really feel the appeal of "cooking with bots" actually, but gameplay could be nice because of automation. Well, i only played it like 30 minutes, last month, so it’s very early and rough feedback...

Are they good in gameplay way, or are they just boobs ?

Alright, i wanted to make a list for the french gamers...
I just noticed that i am the only one i know about with a channel for Linux games, in french. The ones on my list are all in english, i just checked. I am tiny, 500+ subs.
There are others in french, focused on Linux, but they do tuto, how to install Linux, Linux specific games like SuperTux...
Not simply "playing on Linux" in a large scale, like any other generic games channel. We do have several "indi games" channel in french, but they are NOT targeting Linux, just "indi games".

+1 Gorgon, +1 Urtuk + 1 Wildermyth ! All really great games, i played them, and will play more for sure.
Farcry 3, via Proton, no technical issue beside the annoying Uplay registration process.
I cleaned the maps, all towers, all camps, but the story is too stupid, i hate QTE scenes, i hate unskipable scenes, and i disagree with the "mind" of the game (like, you have missions : find and kill rare animals to progress. I don’t care killing stuff, but the idea of "oh it’s rare, let’s kill it", i dislike). So i don’t feel i want to go further (i only have story to complete, and then "mini games"). Still, it was about 20 hours of fun + 5 hours of struggle because of cutscene, QTE and stupid AI you have to escort a few times. The same gameplay, but with a real open world not attached to story, i’m in.
Test Tube Titan, lots of fun while in alpha and Beta, now it’s released, it’s only better, and i love it.
WH40K Gladius (T’Au DLC out now). Two years i’m playing this from time to time, i don’t really see why not two more years. Really like it.
