Distro news: Arch gets a new leader and Manjaro has a new release
26 Feb 2020 at 11:36 am UTC Likes: 3

I was on Ubuntu XFCE because "i was told" it was the superior distro, more even if you are a gamer.

About 3-4 years ago i changed to Manjaro (XFCE again, i like simple and light), because i had some issues with Ubuntu, not sure what but i felt i wanted to change.

Since then, my gaming experience, and my overall experience actually, has improved.

Not sure if it’s really Manjaro, or simply a few years of evolution, but that’s it, and i don’t feel i want to change anytime soon.

What have you been playing recently and what do you think about it?

I always play many different games at the same times, as i "test" more than i "play. However i’ll name these :

- Stormworks Build and Rescue, via Proton, is one of the best vehicle builder sandbox i’ve played. Second would be Starmade i think.

- Bloody Rallye Show is very fun and has more depth than its inspirations (like Death Rallye)

- Conglomerate 451 is a dungeon crawler cyperpunk with read turn based grid (i hate Grimrock style real time dancing tile)

Extreme top-down racing game 'Bloody Rally Show' is out now and it's good

I loved how i was broke and couldn’t pay the fee to race, and the game sent me to the track anyway, as a pedestrian ! I had a camera to take pictures, and make some money. The closer to danger i was, the better. Then, good angle and action, and bingo.

Nice one.

So, what does it change, actually ?
Do we have an example from a few games, with filtered numbers on/off ?

I’ve backed it months ago, and i’m waiting for the "open world" part to be playable.
The art is amazing in this game, really deserves the atmosphere well.

I liked the game a lot when i played it at first, last year, but from what i see, giving the update pace and content, the price tag is too high in my opinion.

It’s simply the best game of its genre. Buy it, play it. Now.
