In a positive world, where good things could happen, what may happen is all dual-booters may stay on Linux for gaming now, so more game will be registered as Linux buyers, so more games will come to Linux.

It's a great new for players, but i'm concerned about NATIVE Linux games. Too many, i think today, will use this instead of going the road to a proper Linux build.

Basically, it's a WINE inside Steam, so it's still not Linux.

BATTLETECH has an expansion named FLASHPOINT coming out this November

Quoting: ZaxthI can't wait for the excuse "We are unable to dedicate resources to a Linux port at this time, due to work on the new expansion"
That's the feeling i have too...

I'd say we will have Linux at best with the expansion, not before.

And i hope i'm wrong.

Exiled Kingdoms - a mobile RPG with decent depth, now on Linux

I've been trying to play it for the last three months or so, but the difficulty, and the combat system are quite killing me. It's not a "hack'n'slash". You basically must use the Space Bar in order to be sure to hit your target, because you cannot just click your mouse like in a Diablo or Sacred or Torchlight etc. The "ported from mobile devices" part of the game is maybe too strong to my taste. But i really would like to like it.. . Should try more, but again, time is not an infinite resource for a human being.

A developer from Bohemia Interactive wants to know your interest in the Arma 3 Linux port

The delay and reported bugs/issues prevented me to buy it so far.

Any Linux games ported too late, well, is too late, but it's even more true for multiplayer games.

Well, i'm curious to see that. So many games are over simplified these days...

In the meantime, you can play the excellent, free and open source, Argentum Age : http://www.argentumage.com/ [External Link]

The accessible Space RTS game 'Element' has left early access

Last time i tried it (months ago), i felt i was playing an over simplified RTS for smarphone.

May find its public on PC, but it's probably not me.

My keyboard is excellent for typing, a little less for playing as too many people think "qwerty" is mandatory, but i manage in most game by simply rebinding keys, or switch to US layout...

It's a TypeMatrix french bépo :

I usually play with PIUE to move, and other keys depending on what is needed. Most of the special french keys don't work in games, such as éàçè....
