I played it and it's nice. Not very deep, but good enough to sink several hours in.
I do wish they add full custom team sandbox mod, soon.
I covered it a few weeks ago on my french YT channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dD3lvERWDmY [External Link]

I play Gorgon from time to time since 2014, and if it's quite ugly (technically + artistically), it offers a real alternative in the MMOG landscape, with very nice choices in design, quests system, semi-classless, loots, skills, gameplay...
There is a non-official Linux launcher for some years too, and i'm glad to see it's coming to Steam with day 1 Linux tag.

Their previous game was a bit too shallow, but that new one seems better.
Wait and see, as always.

2D RPG 'By Any Means Necessary' is now officially available on Linux

I almost bought it because it's turn based combat RPG, and great price to celebrate the Linux version. However i found a video of gameplay, and it seems too shallow and clunky. Also Steam being super quiet dead about the game, is not very attractive.
Anyone here tested it and wants to share its opinion ?

In my memories, Neverwinter Nights was good because of the toolsets. If really not on Linux, that's a big bad news.
Strategy game Northgard is now on Linux, it has a few launch issues but it's engrossing

From what i've read and seen, it seems cute, but very shallow and quickly boring.
Not deep Civ-4X elements, basic RTS tools, poor buildings choice, unattractive Tech trees. It's doing less than Settlers, Warcraft, Civilization, Rise of Nations, without managing to find the right spot in between.
But, i didn't play it myself, i may be wrong.

I much prefer itchio over Steam, the client is better, smoother, easier, cleaner, faster, lighter, opensourcer...
I don't like GoG much because the lack of Galaxy on Linux and some others events, i feel they don't care bot Linux.
Humble is a nice Store, they still have plenty of Linux games, but i don't use it that much outside of the bundles, and i dom't buy many bundles as it tend to have games i already have, or games i don't want.
I don't see what Kongregate will have that the others don't have already, and without Linux support, even worst.
But...
More stores would mean more players in a small terrain, and maybe push the others to improve even more.
Maybe.

It's a "known issue" related to a bug in Unity (again), it seems.

Hard to tell if the movements are nice to play with from a video, but it seems nice. If it's not stupidly hard and fast paced, it could be great. Love the settings.
