Stay away from Micro Machines World Series, it's a total waste of potential. Empty, very few mods to play with, all cars behave the same, not many cars, circuits, choices... The 19% rating is not stolen.
Humble Bundle has been acquired by IGN

Well, it's too early to tell, maybe it will turn to be a real mess really soon, like lots of consoles bundles, crap games, much less Linux supported games etc. But maybe we will only have MORE bundles, only MORE choices.
I don't like the idea of HB being under IGN flag. It's against the "indie" mood that should prevail.

I spent way too much time in that one, a few months ago. I wrote an article in french if you have any interest in it http://jeux1d100.net/blog/2016/12/rpg-mo-un-mmo-rpg-avec-des-pixels/ [External Link]
The main, huge, wall for me, was that after a while, i completely loose the point of the game. After Wood Quality 1, you can go to Wood Quality 2. Then QL3. Then QL4. But, the gameplay at its root is exactly the same.
So, after QLn, i gave up.
I do love their XP boost however. Instead of a personal boost, when you buy a XP potion and apply it, you give the entire server a boost. It's shared. It's super awesome idea, as you still get benefits from your real money, but you also make the other players happy. It's the opposite of usual cash shop, where only the rich players IRL could really benefit from these kinds of potions, creating nothing but rant.
It's way too grindy to play more than a few weeks, to my taste, but it really is a great grind-MMOG, actually.

You can get it on itch, it's as easy as Steam, only better.
I'm playing it since april, and really enjoyed it so far. The Discord is also well active.

I really like this game, and the Challenge mod is packed with lots of fun in higher difficulties. I didn't play the new campaign mission yet, but the previous ones were good too.
Highly recommendedable game, IMO.

To me, the game feels a lot like The Last Federation, for i have to influence factions with diplomacy, sabotage, delivery... and i am just myself, and my crew, not a large army or an empire, etc.
And Darkest Dungeon for crew combat
And, not sure what, for ships combat
And, some 4X/space sim for the galaxy market, jumpgate etc
It's a niche game i would say, and won't please everyone, but it pleases me a lot.
A loved Templar Battleforce, and they are awesome with support (TB got more than 70 updates since released, for free, with fixes bug also content, missions, weapons etc). They do the same for all their games, and i'm very confident they will do so for Star Traders Frontier, their biggest/largest/deepest game so far.

So many games to play with, so little time to enjoy them all...
September / October was like this so far :
Via WINE, Auto Age : Standoff. A 1980 cars battle arena multiplayer.
Linux, i've been playing Overgrowth Beta 6, done the Campaign and a few mods.
VEmpire, a card game with nice uncommon mechanics
Goken, a AJRPG cute
Dungeons of Chaos, a retro RPG with a team of 6, turn based combats
Solar Settlers, a great cerebral board game with cards, where you have to colonize planets
Voxel Turf, a unpolished but super fun Minecraft + SimCity + GTA
Golden Krone Hotel, a rogulike where you play as a human turning into a vampire
Undervault, a simple yet fun and original roguelike
Depth of Extinction, a nice XCOM underwater in alpha
Heliborne, kind of World of Tanks, with choppers
... and more are on the waiting line...
I've been playtesting Triple X Tycoon and Star Traders Frontier too, and the last one will soak my time i guess for the upcoming weeks...
Also RPG in a Box, an engine to build voxel RPG without coding, based on Godot engine.
I write articles or make videos, on my blog and YouTube channel, if you want to see more, and if you can understand french (jeux1d100.net)

The latest Steam Hardware Survey shows Linux market-share has declined again

My experience, without checking any data, is that i have access to more and more good Linux games, every month is better than the previous.
So, when a data says Linux is going down in %, i wonder if i'm blind, or if the data translates its information into something else.
I do think China has its part, based on the so many chinese comments and request for translation i'm seeing poping everywhere (just like "Linux +1"), but only a part. Maybe it's only because the total amount is growing massively, and Linux is growing in raw number, but not in global %. Maybe the Steam Survey is biased (i almost never get surveyed,b ut i did last week).
According to developers i have contact with, they are all happy to support Linux, for politic reasons very often, and they at worst don't lose money, at best of course it's completely worthy.
So... i don't know, i am only a random Linux user, and i don't see myself going back to Windows again, never. Just to think about it, brrr... My computer's life is honestly easier since i'm not dual-booting anymore (it was with WinXP then Win7).
