It is of course good that old titles can be made available for Linux via windows emulators like Proton and Wine, but for new games there is really no reason to stick to Windows only.
Finally I cannot understand why you complain about Feral porting a game to Linux? What does that have to do with you playing windows games using the Proton emulator? It looks to me as if you imply that just because you like to use Proton everybody else should also like it?
Well, I don't, so for me a linux version of whatever game is a positive thing, and in my opition I owe it to Feral that I can play many of the best games out there without any emulator at all. I have 30+ titles that I like on Linux already and it can last me a life time, but I fully expect there to be more in the future.

Quoting: massatt212So theirs a game you really like Only on Windows thats works pretty well on proton you would not consider buying itThere is already a wide range of high quality game titles available on Linux right now, so if you still cannot find anything interesting then maybe Windows is a better alternative for you. To switch to Linux and then to complain about the games you cannot play because of this isn't much use to anyone, especially not yourself. I don't complain about people playing games on Windows, and it does not bother me. I did it myself up to the point where Windows 10 became an issue and it was ok.
the reason i believe in porton over feral rpg and adventure ports, i will be able to take almost my entire collection over to linux, instead of praying a dev will port it to linux.
Why would i leave windows to play games i dont like i hate windows and i wont leave it to play nothing, most of you guys here enjoy those games Feral Port but a lot of us dont
And if Proton kicks off to a bright start their will be More Vulkan Ports and then A lot more native Ports
and if proton gets to the point of every game running at 90% to 100% performance of Windows i would take that with open Arms over Native.

A game that has a Linux version I would consider buying.
A game without Linux version I would not consider buying.
I don't want neither Wine, Proton or anything else of that sort in my Linux computer.
If a game company want my money they will have to make a Linux version of their game.
I think the right way to go is to encourage game companies to add Linux to their supported plattforms, and today, with modern frameworks in place, it isn't that much of a problem to build a game for multiple plattforms.

Quoting: massatt212waste of a portThis is how I see it;
Proton already works fine with this

My favorite game of all times is by far Company of Heroes 2 with close to 1000 hours and counting, but I have also spent several hundred hours playing Total War Empire, Rome, Medival II, and Warhammer. So I fully expect Warhammer II to be a fun addition to this collection with many hours of entertainment and it is a certain buy for me. It was the fact that all these games (together with games from Paradox, Klei among others) were available on Linux that finally made me ditch Windows and only use Linux almost 2 years ago. It may be one of the best decisions I ever made. So I can only say - Thank You Feral Interactive!
Feral Interactive are asking you to send the game port suggestions again

I have been waiting for this game to come to Linux so this is exciting news.
I read on Steam that it takes 60GB storage on Windows, so I guess it will be about the same on Linux(?)
I'll need another SSD for that, but I was planning on buying another one anyway.
