I use it. The performance is... uneven. But as with Steam Deck even "unsupported" games work decently, and it was cool to be able to run some games locally without streaming from my desktop. I hope that they'll continue to improve Linux/cortini support and maybe running Steam that way will be viable.

Without trackpads, I'm really not interested. The "xbox" stick config is also off putting to me in a handheld. It's "ok" for me on the Switch only because the unit is lighter and smaller,but I find the SD layout to be much easier to hold/use.

Hmm. Poor remote play performance is disappointing. I have an old laptop that I currently use for remote play and I was hoping the Deck could replace it.
