That might be one of the reasons i didnt get hooked into the game, because the story for me was kind a meh and the game wasnt too scary... ofc there were places where it got your hearth pumping a bit..but still.

Quoting: ZeloxI think it has to do with the AI of the Alien, it does some funny things, and its also easy to outsmart him.I never been a real fan of Alien Movies tbh :) they are not bad but im not a fan of them.
But I didnt play it for the scares, for me it was just a nostalgic trip in to the Alien franchis ^^.
And its where the game shines I guess.
Soma I also agree on, its just pure disturbing sometimes, and the story and ending is epic.
I dont want to spoil anything but its very dark and sad, like the whole game xD.
Monstrum and Outlast, well Im to mutch of a chicken to even try those.
Watch a stream, yes, but I dont think I would jump in to it, maybe.
And Outlast 2 looks even more horrific :S

i don't know why but i didnt find Alien Isolation scary at all.
SOMA on the other hand was scarier for me, even though its not too much horror there, but the atmosphere is so great.
Monstrum is also nice.
Outlast i didn't play too much, didn't get hooked.
Among the Sleep i dont own yet, will check it out when it goes to sale.

so what we gather from here:
Payday 2 is quite popular.
CSGO, DOta2 and War Thunder are played a lot as well
and that people still need to use wine

F1 2015
just finished Canadian GP today.
playing with 30 min practice, short qualifying and 50% race distance.
all assists off except traction control medium.
Crashed in Monaco, but finished most other races and currently leading in the standings with 13 points :)
really liking the game

i have bought 2 of them :)
im not a controller person but i really like steam controller. i can control my desktop from distance which is super nice. also good for some local-coop gaming from the couch :P
edit: haven't had issues with the controller not working, but then again, i only play local-coop games like Battleblock theater, Never alone, Gang beasts and similar with them.
i use keyboard+mouse for the rest of the games and/or wheel for racing

Recording this is pain. It turns off forcecompositionpipline, makes the screen tear and still gets huge fps hit when recording even with nvenc. same thing as with Dying Light. Without recording FPS is pretty much locked to 60 fps all the time on maxed settings, motion blur off and chromatic abberation disabled. Really Great Performing game.

Frametime/Frame latency is much more important factor than just raw fps number.
you can have 150fps game thats still really bad, or you can have 40 fps game that is snappy.
ofc if a game runs really low fps.. frametime wont help

Quoting: manus76The problem is you get those 'magic' 60 fps and more on relatively powerful hardware. Those with older/less potent hardware get hardly playable fps unless they play on low/very low settings. I don't think it's best strategy to give free pass to this sort of ports just 'because it's linux'. Bad performing game is a bad performing game regardless of the operating system. And as I said before: why would people even consider linux as a gaming platform if they get barely playable fps at low/medium on the OS, while on Windows they could happily play it on ultra at smooth fps?Like said many times before. FPS in numbers is not always the best indicator...
