Now I'm hoping for support for Kepler in a "short" time (including automatic reclocking), it would help me get by without having to change the entire PC for a while longer.

This sentence sounds horrible in English, sorry

Quoting: StoneColdSpiderI have a real dumb question about Nvidia drivers and EndeavourOS......

Ive got a Nvidia GTX 1080...... And im assuming my card is coming to end of driver support sometime in the not to distant future....... So my question is..... What happens when that does indeed happen???...... Will the EndeavourOS updater know the driver no longer supports my card and stop downloading and installing the unsupported driver on my pc????..... Or will I have to remove the current driver and install a legacy driver or what????....... It is something that has crossed my mind a few times over the past few months as my card gets older and older........

I know I should probably ask over on the EndeavourOS forums but I dont want to create an account just to ask this 1 dumb question....... So here I am....

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day.....
You have to pay attention to the driver change (I found it in tty at startup because I had missed the package in the update list :tongue: )

There should be packages in aur for the gtx660 for example they are:
nvidia-470xx-dkms
nvidia-470xx-utils
nvidia-470xx-settings
lib32-nvidia-470x-utils
hoping that the maintainers will continue to update them.

Otherwise you can use the integrated card of your processor, or still switch to the open drivers for nvidia (hoping they are better than now)

P.S.: you can always take a look at https://discovery.endeavouros.com/ [External Link] or the everlasting archlinux wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/ [External Link]

The open source NVIDIA NVK driver is coming along well

So is there hope for my old gtx660? :woot:
live tend to give me a bit of trouble with nouveau.
Trying or installing with Intel integrated and then switching to discrete is a bit of a hassle.

I will be able to pass it on to other PCs.

Quoting: tpau
Quoting: Torqachuwould it be possible to implement dgvoodoo2 and wine 32bit prefixes?
Wine is doing 32 over 64 mostly these days, do you still need 32bit dedicated prefixes then?
Last I checked (heroic 1.6.2 release I believe) I needed a 32bit prefix and dgvoodoo for Commandos: behind enemy lines.
with a 64bit prefix I couldn't install amstream, devenum, quartz for videos and the game lagged on every move of the trackball.
And I had to use lutris.
It's probably just the game being a bit mangy.

P.S.: As usual, sorry for my english
