Same for me. I bought in Feb a gaming Laptop with Win 10. After one month i got sick to even have to log in to open"Word". Win 10 does not feel like you own your Pc. So i tried Kubuntu and in July i killed Win 10. And i can play everything i want on Linux. Never going back!

As always, emulation remains as a vital part of gaming's history. Not just so we don't lose access to tons of older games many years later when a developer moves on, but so we can play them often better than the developer was able to run them on the system it was originally designed for.
Totally agree!! Emulation keeps games alive!

Oh so maybe Enderal works now out of the Box?
FWIW, Enderal (when it works) runs very poorly on Windows on my 2700X and 980 Ti.
On Windows???

I'll try it out later tonight. I don't have high hopes but I'd love for that one to start working.
I know there is a work arround with play on linux. But to play it out of the box without extra "wine steam" would be just awesome!

Can Steam Play be used for games not on Steam?

Yes! On Steam, you can add non-Steam games and also force Steam Play on them using the same method as shown above.

Simply add a game installed outside as Steam (let's say a Windows game from GOG), add it to your Steam library:

However, this might need an extra step due to a bug in the Steam client. When you pick a non-Steam game on Linux, it often cuts off the full path to it so it won't launch. It's easy enough to fix, but you do need to know where it was installed, this follows directly after the step above was done:

This Step never worked for me.
