I got a AMD GPU early on to run Plasma Wayland after finding my GTX 1050 TI to be lackluster on Linux, and let me tell you its been a great past five or so years seeing the massive improvements land. Plasma Wayland went from crashes and clipboard issues and artifacting, to a stable environment packed with even more features and better performance than X11 ever had. Can't wait to see where things go from here!

There's no reason to completely remove the violence from a game that has had it from the beginning. This *is* just people being too sensitive. They could have added a censor option for those who were sensitive to it. Just because a game has violence in it does not mean it is glorifying it.

Doesn't matter what anti-cheat they use, they are incredibly easy to defeat if you k ow what you are doing. And so long as the player resists making it blatantly obvious to see theyare cheating, cheat will work.

This is disappointing to hear. Why the heck are they changing?

I'm sorry, but it's just sad that you are having trouble enjoying the game simply because your character isn't your ideal. Use your imagination and just enjoy the gameplay. That's how these changes generally seem to go. "Oh we broke wine? Oh well. But don't worry!" And then later after release: "Oops, time to worry! We justbwont be supporting Linux at all."

Regardless of competition in the hardware and software space, a competent handheld really needs Steam to be a good alternative to the SteamDeck. So regardless, valve will still get their cake from Steam purchases on that device.
