Valve tricks Dota 2 cheaters and then bans 40,000 of them

My concern is that this tactic may not work again because now it's public.

Plasma 5.27 Beta live with Flatpak settings, multi-monitor upgrade, SteamOS updater

Quoting: NerdNoiseRadioOne question: didn't I hear that Plasma 5.26 added support for animated wallpapers? That's a feature that I will definitely plan to start using once I know I have access to it! :-)
Yes, but only for Wayland as it was disabled in Xorg due to a memory leak in an underlying library that was used to achieve it. It supports both avif and heif formats for the animated wallpapers, and all you have to do is add them to your wallpapers folder and select them as if they are any other wallpaper.

MineClone2 version 0.81.0 (free Minecraft-like) for Minetest out now

I imagine it has really wonky movement and doesn't feel as smooth as the real Minecraft. That's been my experience with Minetest modpacks.

100%. There's got to be a better solution... Perhaps at least some kind of plastic piece that grips onto the case to give it support so it can't bend?

Steam Deck Beta gets Firefox as Flatpak, mentions "future controller hardware revisions"

If anyone wants to buy my Steam Controller for $10 + shipping in the US, offer is there. I stopped using it after I got my steam deck. It is used, obviously, but it still works.

Some Steam Decks ship with an x2 SSD instead of an x4 SSD

Also, for all those people whining about this change, would you rather get your steamdeck now, or wait another year for it? Because if valve doesn't do small changes like this, that is what will happen. As long as you don't encounter issues and it works just as well as the other units, why should you even care?

All manufacturers are doing this now. As far as I'm concerned as long as there is no visible performance or reliability differences, it is fine.

It's when companies like dell do it without even SAYING they did it, and then it gets worse performance, that I have issues with it.

War Thunder gets officially Steam Deck Verified

War thunder has been trash for a while now. I quit like a year ago after reaching top teir in a few tech trees. I really loved the game, but gaijin just kept adding more and more premium vehicles and pay-to-win stuff to the point where the game became super unbalanced and no fun to play anymore... not to mention the pile of bugs that were around for a long time, such as ghost shells where when you shoot a enemy, the shell doesn't register as hitting despite being directly on target.

I think I'll start playing if it's good and it works well on the deck!

Inspired by Cube World, the free Veloren 0.12 release is out

Quoting: PhiladelphusBeen keeping a vague eye on Veloren for a while now (being interested in learning Rust, and it being one of the more prominent games written in Rust). It hasn't quite caught my interest enough to actually check out, but perhaps I should give it a try one of these days.
Well, it's not really a finished game yet
