Quoting: Avehicle7887Hopefully they'll also release the update for the DRM-Free version on Humble Bundle, otherwise I won't be able to enjoy this update at all.
Same hope here (so far it's not updated). As I understand FNA is not tied to steam (?), so there should be some hope, even more as it's also on GOG :)

. @flibitijibibo and I just sent Windows, OS X and Linux builds to GOG and Humble for FEZ 1.12. Coming live in the near future!

Putt-Putt Goes to the Moon, an excellent Linux & SteamOS game for kids
21 Aug 2016 at 12:26 am UTC

Quoting: Ben DHumongous Entertainment's games were my first video games. Specifically, Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo, and Spy Fox in Dry Cereal, some of the Blue's Clues games and the entire Backyard Sports series. My younger siblings still play Backyard Baseball '01 from time to time.
I played the crap out of put-put saves the zoo when I was (very) young, and I still remember it quite well :)
I think I "debuted" in computing when I tried to print a color (yes, I was doing something bad) picture from the game, it didn't work, so I clicked like 20 times, and the printer started printing multiple copies using the expensive ink. Had to figure out how to stop printing.

I also bough the humble bundle (20$, it it tells anything) for sentimental value.
Quoting: wolfyrionThe good think is that with that bundle, if you have bought it, whatever future title comes from Humongous you get it for free + All the humongous titles are now available in Linux :O

Lucky! ^_^
Yeah, they weren't available on Linux at the time, IIRC. Does that mean I can only redeem the "Humongous Entertainment Complete Pack", and let aside :
Putt-Putt® Joins the Parade
Freddi Fish Missing Kelp Seeds
Putt-Putt® Goes to the Moon
Pajama Sam: No Need to Hide
Freddi Fish: Haunted Schoolhouse
Spy Fox in Dry Cereal
to give away to friends?

Cities: Skylines - Natural Disasters expansion announced, mother nature is pissed
20 Aug 2016 at 6:35 pm UTC

Quoting: numasanI just hope there will be many kind of disasters, and not just fire-based ones, such as viral epidemics or something that requires more police. Having only natural disasters also sounds a bit limiting - am I the only one who'd like to see plane crashes if you have an airport near urban areas?
I'd like to see a nuclear explosion burning your city to ashes...

Then, survivors who need to scavenge the wastelands to survive. Oops... that's another game. Cool concept, anyway :)

And what would you expect them to say about themselves if they weren't legit?

Super Crate Box, GUN GODZ & Serious Sam: The Random Encounter to come to Linux

Nice, one more item of my windows games list that will find its way to my "playable" games list.

Random Access Murder is quite possibly the most annoying game ever made

At first I thought that those glitches and on-screen corruption were part on the video footage, then my PC crashed... Frickin' nVidia drivers (sorry for the rant, and closed source isn't an option, this is a live stick).

ALONE IN SPACE is now on Linux, an immersive sci-fi adventure that looks quite good

Shhhhhhhutup.
Uh?

Anyway; this game looks interesting, and the sequences with electricity reminds me a bit of S.T.A.L.K.E.R

Breached, a strange adventure sci-fi walking sim now on Linux

much like what people call 'walking simulators', but you're flying instead
So, I take that it's a flight simulator :)

Looks pretty damn good, can't wait to have my computer to play this :D

Quoting: tmtvlNot if they don't upgrade their boxes.
If you're not going to upgrade it, then why bother with a rolling release? The longer you leave an Arch box without upgrades the more likely that upgrades will break it anyway
I’m not tmtvl, but who said the boxes wouldn’t be updated*? The *users* don’t update their boxes. The "admin" ("you") can install software and update them at the interval they see fit. Also works with Gentoo btw ;).

*I assume that by "upgraded" you both mean "updated".

That said I’d rather recommend a distro where users can do the update themselves with a couple mouse clicks and where it never breaks.
I've been considering Manjaro lately for this purpose. Looks more stable than Arch, and more up to date than those LTS distros. I have encountered many hardware support problems lately with Mint and alike, so having a rock solid rolling distro would be nice.

Quoting: PompesdeskyTo make Steam work I needed to either switch to proprietary drivers for my AMD card or suppressing some Steam libraries conflicting with the OS's libraries, that's after hours of forum surfing when it's a double click away in Windows.
Yeah unfortunately it’s more complicated with AMD hardware than with nvidia cards. And Valve included unwanted libraries in Steam for Linux, for some reason, so non-Steam games often run better (with nvidia hw too).
To be honest, my experience reflects the exact opposite.
Edit: that said, the libraries bug is quite well known and has been around for a long time. I am amazed that valve didn't bother fixing it yet.

Well, I don't want to look pessimistic here, but always remember to take these statistics with a grain of salt. These variations could literally be anything, and I highly doubt their algorithms are optimized for Linux detection/discrimination.

No, the real goal is 100% (maybe a little less if we leave room for our other BSD/Mach/Hurd/Haiku/whatever -including mac). I might consider 50% as a good sign too :)
Until then... No mercy <insert pirate emoticon here>.

But just remember not to trust these statistics, they are really biased in a lot of ways. And there is no way to tell if they over or under estimate the numbers.
