It is very disappointing to see that your favorite companies shamelessly wipe their feet about ordinary players. Although we in Russia are very fond of their games, we have always supported them and someone even forgave them for the broken Cyberpunk. People will remember this act.

And it is a pity that xenophobia is flourishing on various sites. I would like to avoid this, of course.

P.S. Guys who think that in Russia they support the president and succumb to propaganda - you are wrong. Guys who think that this blatant harassment of Russians will help overthrow the government - you are also mistaken. The effect is the opposite (but not in the direction of supporting the president) - what, you can guess for yourself.

GOG Galaxy can run in Wine, although unsupported.

Why buy GOG games at all? You need to buy on Steam, from those people who really support your platform, and do not wipe their feet about you.

One reason that's likely GOG aren't working to expand their Linux support to Galaxy and Steam Deck, is that they aren't exactly doing well financially.

Interesting. And who prevented them from fully supporting Linux before, even with the old launcher? This had to be done in the heyday of ports from Feral and others, since 2016.

Why complain about finances now? Poles fully deserve their current position. GOG is no longer needed by anyone, even Linux users deposit more money on Steam.

No need to feel sorry for them. If GOG closes, then so it will be. CDPR deserved it, it's their own fault that they have been in this position for years of lying.

And so we approached the time of awareness when you realized that you had to start maintaining a new market it was necessary 5 years ago at least... :grin:

Now on Twitter from Tim, there will be a bunch of nipping that Valve has practically monopolists on Linux in the field of games. And this is not thanks to exclusives and other shitty moves, but thanks to long-term investments in a new market with all the risks. This is how the status quo breaks down.

Epic had chances to promote their Fortnite and store on Linux, but they refused themselves, so they go to hell.

The Poles with GOG had enough time to meet the audience, who most of all promoted the position of DRM-free. But for years they've been wiping their feet on us, so go to hell.

Humble.. Well, just go to hell.

As a result, on Linux we have only two time-tested stores that really care about the platform: Steam and itch.io :wink:
