What we want to see from the possible SteamPal handheld from Valve

But IMO if they don't offer a " lot " of power for a little price, or a lot of unseen features, it will be redundant with a gaming laptop, a phone / tv with steamlink or a nintendo switch.

Quoting: CatKillerAnecdotally, with people having done more working from home recently, they don't necessarily want to be tethered to the same machine for entertainmentSeeing it these way I'm just not the targeted audience, I can't work from home, I need a car to go to work ( so obvusely no gaming during commut ), and I spend 1h30 max per day on my gaming rig during the week and not even every day.

Seeing the Nintendo switch being sub 300€ on Amazon, for me the steam pal should be at 399€ if can run AAA game discently, or 299€ if it target's indy games or game streaming services.
An HDMI output and a way to use a mouse keyboard would be a nice addition.
Software wise having some kind of preconfigured graphic profile at least for the flagship games, so you can choose to launch a game performance mode to have steady 60fps, eco to maximize battery life, and max graphic with a 30 FPS target.
But honestly I'm absolutely not interested in a handheld console / pc, and I don't really see what the target audience is for these product.

I was on my way to finish hellpoint, but I lost my nerves on the last boss, and I haven't tried again for the last 2 weeks.
I spend most of my gaming time on battlefield V multiplayer and art of rally. Since I will have a lot of free time for the next two weeks ( I'm a Covid contact case ) wasteland 3 will probably be my main go to game.

Sometimes it feels good to wait a bit, and it was totally the case here.
And it would be even better with a gifted key .
And it would be perfect with a free rtx 3080, but I'm maybe asking a bit too much :woot:

Played a lot of hellpoint lately. As someone who has never played a darksoouls like, I have to say that it is decent and challenging game. The only thing that iritates me are the jump's, how can someone have so much anger towards players, that he puts platforms level in a game like that.

Quoting: bekoI bought 3 games on gog in the winter sales to support both GoL and DRM free alternatives. The fact that you loose some fonctionality and that you have to wait for some major updates irritates me a lot. I don't really see a reason to buy Linux DRM free games and install them through wine and fog galaxy to have a decent experience. Same as you I will use gog for good OLD games and steam for the rest.Quoting: einherjarI am glad that on Steam I just can play ;-)Be assured that this was the last time that I bought a "recent" game at GOG. I'm so tired of this. It's like this with _every_ freakin patch X4 (or similar) get. I can be happy when I get stuff within the same month.

Out of curiosity,I just looked the price, it goes from 459€ to 649€. It would be interesting to see some benchmark, but I don't think that the investment is worth the performance.

I know that it is fairly easy to do it manually, but have it as a build in option, could be handy.

Quoting: alka.setzerThe update situation for gog games is a bit of a mess. That's why I avoid buying some games on gog. I understand that they don't want to port galaxy for linux, and even if our native game launcher are making it a bit easier, I would'nt see my self redownloading a 30 or 40 go games every couple of month.
Quoting: alka.setzerCloud saves is also a problemI wasn't necessarily thinking of cloud save but some kind of sync option that would copy all the save files to one location, and the other way around.

I enjoyed a lot the demo of lamentum [External Link], if I add to that metro, prodeus and the dead cell dlc, i think that I'll have a good gaming year.

I tried it a few weeks ago, it's an elegant way to play gog games on Linux, especially with the update notification ( curious if you still need to redownload the whole game for updating it ).
If I remember correctly gamehub [External Link] offers wine and proton support for Windows games.
A nice addition would be to having a way to sync/backup the game saves.
I personally use lutris to have an all in one app, in addition of wyvern for my got games.
