What have you been playing recently and what are your thoughts?

I'm on my way of finishing shadow of the Tomb Raider, not as good as rise of the Tomb Raider IMO but I'm still looking to complete it 100%.
Other than that I tried golf with your friend and shotgun farmer recently, which are ok games, probably way more fun if you don't play them alone.
Even if I have enough games to finish, Black mesa is seriously winking at me.

For the record I played 211 hours and didn't launch the game since July 2016.

Hope that all the refund requests will be honored.

Linux gaming night: Shotgun Farmers - come join tonight

I don't own shotgun farmers (it could change if I get the steam refund for rocket league before the discount ends :D), and I'm not available these evening, but I would love to see more of these even in the future.

Quoting: Liam Dawe
Quoting: on_en_a_grosI'm just curious, is there a way to know if my purchase is affiliated with GoL?
Unlike Humble, GOG don't show it on the store when your purchase helps a partner. However, if you use our links you should be fine. You can check if there's cookies for GOG named "pp_st" and "pp" that have "b2a10a6c3dcadb10c8ffd734c1bab896d55cf0ec" in them (the same code added to the end of our links).

I can say plenty of people do use our partner links, and they really do help us.
Thanks for the answer, the affiliate link is one of the reasons I'm using more gog lately, it's always a pleasure to help someone by buying games ^_^

Quoting: EagleDeltaThe Tower of Time giveaway doesn't seem to work right now. The link just goes back to the main store page.
There is a redeem link in the middle of the main store page.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition released with Linux support

What a time to be a Linux gamer, I sadly need to wait till next month to buy it, but at least I will have plenty of time to play on Xmas :)

It's the pre-weekend deals section, plus Endless Space - Collection (Steam Play) free on Humble

3 free games in the last 3 month, humble bundle is really the place to go if you're a gamer on budget.
But I'll pass on these one, I didn't even have time to test age of wonder, and I have to investigate why dirt rally don't launch.

What have you been clicking on this weekend?

With such a beautiful weekend I didn't spend a lot of time on my computer, but I manage to play a bit of insurgency yesterday.

These afternoon I tested space mercs, I'm a bit mixed about it, the game looks good and the feeling while flying is really nice, but the non invert controls are strange for space SIM, and the enemy marker is not eye popping enough for me. Apart from that it's an addictive game, I will probably spend a lot of time with it the next week.

On the steam play side I just tested resident evil 4 which seems to work great with the d9vk launch option. Watch dogs runs at a decent frame rate but without sound, but as I'm on leave, I have plenty of time to investigate tomorrow :D.

Flippin Kaktus is an absolutely mad looking action-platformer coming to Linux

Could totally be my kind of game, especially with the 80's movie inspiration. Too bad there is no couch coop like in broforce, still gonna keep an eye on it.

Just finished the game on Linux Mint 19.1 turns out some cutscenes play without subtitles.
Example; in the first cutscene when you start the game and the one starting the epilogue are supossed to have text but it does not appear, just realized after I missed the entire big bad's monologue.
I just tried the first level on manjaro and all seemed to work out of the box, but keep in mind that I have the steam version and in an Nvidia GPU.
Did the intro in the elevator had red subtitles?

If so, I guess we can pin the problems with some incompatibility with mesa.

Either way, thank you so much for the time you took to test the game.
No problem.
Yes everything worked like intended, the intro the cutscene and the menu tutorial after the first level.
Good luck if you keep investigating.
