Thanks to my contact at Paradox, I have been able to test the new Cities: Skylines - Natural Disasters DLC before release. Here are my thoughts on it.

The enhanced remake of this indie game will be getting a Linux release on launch. Players will be able to explore a mysterious world where their actions have consequences and multiple endings abound.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the popular FPS from Valve has another update with one rather interesting feature. You can now join game lobbies made by members of Steam groups you belong to.

The developers of 'A Little Less Desperation' emailed in to let me know that their sci-fi comedy point & click game will be heading to Linux. It's currently on Kickstarter with a few days left and it's fully funded. It even has a demo!

I can't help but love all the work itch are doing, especially since they have one of the nicest game clients available. They have just pushed out yet another major update.

I think this title has a lot of potential, because after a successful Kickstarter campaign the developers claim they were funded by Nordic Games without sacrificing the creative control of the project, so basically the quality of the game now simply relies on how talented they are and how well they spend the budget on the game.

X-Plane 11 is nearing release, so the developers have put up a beta and a demo of the beta for you to try before you buy.

I am keeping an ever watchful eye over Maia hoping that it eventually gets polished up enough to be something great. This new update sure does sound nice, but sadly the game still lacks a lot of polish.

If you're looking to play an adventure game but you don't have a lot of time, then you may be interested to check "Sisyphus Reborn", a lightweight (300 MB) and short existential adventure that will only take you 40 minutes to finish (and that includes getting all the achievements).

This is really great news! The Station, one of those promising upcoming games I covered recently has not only been Greenlit, but they have hit their Kickstarter funding goal too.

I have done a little search and come up with some interesting stuff that you might want to look into for a good deal.

xoreos is a FLOSS project aiming to reimplement BioWare's Aurora engine (and derivatives), covering their games starting with Neverwinter Nights and potentially up to Dragon Age II.

Tomb Raider is a pretty good game, performance issues in certain areas aside. It's currently on sale on the Feral Interactive store for peanuts.

The Steam Link isn't something I write about often, but it has just gained a new Beta which adds full support for customizing the PS4 controller and it also now allows you to pair an XBox One S controller.

As always, I am massively impressed with the progress the Mesa developers have made. The open source Vulkan driver 'radv' has continued to evolve recently.
