Project Zomboid updates!

To all zombie lovers out there, the new release of Project Zomboid from The Indie Stone is upon us!

It requires a tiny bit of hacking to get working which is actually quite simple so don't worry!

First ignore everything on their website for now, bar the first bit below:

Buy the game (£5 and lifetime updates - it is worth it! Make sure you read the red writing)

Now you need this download: http://sourceforge.net/projects/java-game-lib/files/Official Releases/LWJGL 2.7.1/lwjgl-2.7.1.zip/download

Go into the folder /native/linux (from the download) and copy all the .so files into your Project Zomboid folder.

In the project zomboid folder go into /media/ui/ and rename "StoryMode_text.png" to StoryMode_Text.png (notice the case).

Now open a text file and enter this (notice the bit you need to edit)
#!/bin/sh

exec java -Djava.library.path="/where/your/pz/is/located/" -cp "lwjgl.jar:./" zombie.FrameLoader

Save that as say Launcher.sh and make it executable (right click on it, go to properties, permission and make executable).

Now you have everything you need to run it, enjoy!

This apparently works for the Desura version fine too. Thanks Kame. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

This works fine for the Desura version as well by the way! Although you have to go into windows to download the client and get the key. Desura for Linux can't come soon enough.
