Hate Plus Coming soon to Steam For Linux

By - | Views: 7,478
Let's spend the next three real-time days together uncovering the mystery of what went horribly wrong on a derelict generation ship, with the help of a spunky/more-than-slightly-traumatized AI sidekick!

A sequel to Analogue: A Hate Story that tells a whole new hate story of its own. Analogue players can pick up where their finished save files left off, and new players can start fresh in Hate Plus

A dark visual novel about transhumanism, cosplay, cake-baking, and the slow patriarchal erosion of freedoms taken for granted.

I finished the orginal one, took me a little time to get into it, and I did put it a way a few times, but once I was in the right mood I loved it, read all the letters, details, conspirasies, was good fun :)

Not too much of a visual-novel guy myself, but I thought it would be good to point out that it's been available for Linux directly from Christine's site, and also on Desura, for a long time now.  Folks who may not be Steam inclined might choose to buy it that way.

Without knowing more, I would suspect the issue in bringing it to Steam is somewhere between Ren'Py & Steamworks on Linux for achievements and stuff, since Steam's Linux support is still pretty new.

I liked first part so I'm looking forward to it.

That is "A hate story" which is the 1st, the one in this article is "Hate Plus".  Got the original from the authors site when it came out, one thing I miss there is no notice of updates, that what desura and steam do well :)

Anyways, got the save game from the original into this new one and so far I like it, except maybe the screen flashing (trying to emulate a system running at low power) can be a bit irritating.

also cudos to the developer fixing some issues (spaces without quotes in scripts) within less then an hour so the game would start out of the box.
