NEON STRUCT Stealth Game Shows Promising Linux Sales

The developer of NEON STRUCT the stealth game from Minor Key Games (Eldritch, You Have to Win the Game, Super Win the Game) has posted stats of their sales, and Linux is doing well.

So far, 7% of @NeonStruct sales are from Mac users and 3% are from Linux users. That's pretty significant.

Considering the Linux share on Steam is only around the 1% mark according to their monthly survey, this is encouraging. This means they are getting a decent share of our sales compared to our overall market share.

Our Samsai did a GOL Cast of NEON STRUCT, so be sure to check out his thoughts on it here. Seems like it he liked it, so it's probably worth picking up.

Check out NEON STRUCT on Steam, and help boost that Linux sales mark. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

There's as well a demo available for Linux on Steam!

And people wonder why we're skeptical of the Steam survey results.

Especially since it reflects perfectly other desktop, client and browser statistics. Yes, yes we wonder.

Loved this game. The soundtrack is typically not my kind of music, but it's excellent and will forever be linked to my memory of this game.

BTW, David replied to another tweet saying that it doesn't take much to make a Linux build, just compile time, basically. So here's hoping he and his brother (J. Kyle, who made Super Win the Game, another excellent game) will continue supporting us for a long time to come! David's new game is a vampire game of some sort, and J. Kyle is working on Gunmetal Arcadia.

Well, as you only mention Steam, and don't link to the Game Page people might not know that it is also sold outside of Steam (via a humble widget).
Which leaves the question if (part of) the discrepancy between sales and Steam users is due to this. The twitter post at least said 'sales', not 'steam sales'....

Eh, it's been known for years that Linux is underrepresented in automated surveys.
