Well this one caught me by surprise, F1 2015 looks like it may actually come to Linux & SteamOS which will give us another more realistic racing game.

You can see the big entry on SteamDB where Linux and Mac content is being added.
Quotelaunch/5/config/oslist: linux
launch/5/executable: f12015.sh
launch/5/type: none

While it is a major game, it has "Mostly Negative" reviews on Steam. It sounds like it's a pretty buggy game, so if whoever is doing the Linux version manages to fix it up a bit, it could turn out to be a lot better for us. It could also be coming along with a new patch for the game overall, if so then everyone would win.

I wasn't a racing sim guru for sure, but I can imagine a lot of linux folks higher up in the ranks would be into this kind of game.

It's nice to have the selection, definitely worth a look but not 4 me i think.

Good news, I stopped buying the F1 games, and many others when switched to Linux.
Quoting: Segata SanshiroThe career mode was always pretty good in these games.
But is a shame that F1 2015 don't have a career mode like the previous F1 games.

As some comments have said before, DIRT Rally would be great.

Unfortunately, game is not optimized for Windows. So, we can expect even more problem and bad optimization on Steam OS.

Haven't enjoyed an F1 sim since I played the crap out of Microprose's F1GP 2 in the late nineties.

The PC version got a meta score of 58. This game is extremely likely not worth your time almost regardless of price.

The game was released pretty buggy, crashing all the time. From what I have read it was fixed later with patches and now works fine. This might explain the low score.

amazing stuff... cant wait to get my hands on it.. ordered my racing wheel also :)

now if Dirt Rally also is coming at some point, my life will be complete on the racing area :)

I love racing games, but mostly offroad rally and motocross and atv type racing.

I watched the videos and it looks quite interesting, perhaps more a sim game and perfect for Steam controller?
