The new Master of Orion is coming to Linux, but you know that already if you read us often. The awesome news is the voice cast has been revealed, and it's awesome.

QuoteMark Hamill (Star Wars Saga) in addition to Alan Tudyk (Firefly), Michael Dorn (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Kat Cressida (Haunted Mansion), Dwight Schultz (Babylon 5), and Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street) talk about how they brought the races to life.

I'm a big Master of Orion 2 fan as it was a game I spent a large amount of my childhood playing, so this new entry to the series has me rather excited. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyThat's impressive. Betcha it was easier to get them because it's MOO and half these people are nerds who probably used to play hours and hours of it.

Probably? The way they're talking, most of them were hardcore fans of the original.

Oh, I'd daresay that fits each and every one of them... Each new one they introduced was...wow...just...WOW...

I'm not geeking (too much...) over this- but now I'm really looking forward to nabbing the game when they ship...

Oh absolutely, like everyone in that cast is top notch. It's just that I'm such a fan of John De Lancie. The man is a gift.

I don't particularly like Mark Hamill as an actor, but he's seem really great as a voice actor, impressed.

Unfoooooortunately, Early Access starts with Windows only. Mac/Linux will be added later so don't be overexcited. Yet.

From the Store Page:
QuoteWindows 64bit will be the only initial operating system supported, though we will be rolling out support for Mac OS, Linux and Steam OS over time.
