If you have issues with Saints Row 2, Saints Row The Third, Saints Row 4 or Gat out of Hell you can now submit the issues directly to Virtual Programming on github.

Find their github here, with links to each.

Hopefully they will make all their ports nice and stable with people sending issues directly to them.

Have you been enjoying them? Let us know in the comments.

I find the performance on all of them to be a bit iffy, especially the stuttering. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

A "first load" might involve compiling GLSL shaders (directx does offline compiling), and if they're not cached this will happen every time you run the game. In which case you can do nothing about it (except pray for Vulkan). Just a thought anyway...

Kudos to them for doing it. I wish more developers would use public bug trackers instead of asking users to submit bugs on their forums or privately.

Quoting: crazyg4merzIt's better to let them know though, whether they are going to fix it or not at least it shows that we care about their games. There's no such things as bombarding when the issue is really happening :)
I'm not sure this is what you mean, but bug spam is a thing. If the bug is already reported and known, only comment if you have useful information to add. Duplicate reports help no one and saying "me too" is rarely useful. But by all means, please do report a bug if it's not already on the tracker, even if you think it might be trivial and/or obvious. Just check existing reports first and follow any guidelines set by the developer.

Quoting: UlukaiI play them with the Steam Controller but because the right trackpad is mapped to behave like a mouse, I often get the keyboard and mouse bindings on screen instead of the gamepad bindings.

The config file contains an option to only show controller prompts.

Thanks, that was most useful! Trying it out right now.

The problem with the other trackpad modes like "Joystick mouse" is the sensitivity and acceleration options. I can't let it behave exactly like the mouse, which is what I need for precise aiming and direct reactions when attacked from behind. I tried it again with various settings, like you suggested, but I really don't like it the way it is now. Maybe it will be better in furute Steam updates.

By the way, what about their Full Steam Controller Support they promised to land soon after initial SR4 release on SteamOS?

Yeah, just found out this is already reported here: https://github.com/virtual-programming/saintsrow3-linux/issues/4
Just keep tracking there instead of making a new report then, hopefully the developers can find a workaround or fix for it soon. :)

Aaand, almost two months later, the vast majority of issues reported (and there weren't even really that many) have seemingly gone completely ignored. Would've been nice to have at least gotten a cursory "we'll look into this" on some of those. Ah, well.
