Fossil Echo is a pretty awesome looking story-driven platformer that has plans for a Linux version, it's not ready just yet but will be soon.

Speaking on the Steam forum the developer said:
QuoteHello! We decided to not have PC players wait while we finalized the Mac & Linux versions. We don't have a set release date yet for those, but they are coming soon. Thanks for your interest. Cheers :)

It has some truly lovely animations, art and audio so I am looking forward to seeing if it lives up to how it looks.

They are doing a Steam, GOG and Humble Store release, so hopefully all those stores will get the Linux version too.

Thanks to the guys in the IRC for pointing it out. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Okay, this has to be asked: Why is there suddenly a huge influx of 2D games this week?

I can't wait any longer, I must install PC on my system.
Can anyone help me out? I can't get any good info on google.

Nonsense aside, game looks good, I'll buy it once it's released :)

Looks good. If and when they put a Linux version on GOG I'll buy it.
