I grew up playing Sonic on the Sega Mega Drive, so this looks like an awesome bundle for me. Humble Bundle has put up a small but nice collection with the Sonic 30th Anniversary Bundle.

Nearly all of the games will work well with Steam Play Proton, although sadly Sonic the Hedgehog 4 - Episode I and Sonic the Hedgehog 4 - Episode II don't appear to run out of the box. Apart from that though, it's looking pretty sweet.

Here's what you can get from it:

  • Sonic Adventure FX
  • Sonic Adventure 2 + Battle Mode DLC
  • Sonic Generations Collection
  • Sonic Lost World
  • Sonic Mania + Encore DLC
  • Sonic Forces
  • Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Collection
  • Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing
  • Sonic the Hedgehog 4 - Episode I
  • Sonic the Hedgehog 4 - Episode II
  • Team Sonic Racing

Check out the bundle if interested.

Sonic was my favorite franchise when i was a child (90s kid). Such a charismatic character, but the formula doesn't resisted the transition to 3D... at least, sega couldn't deliver it.

Hi. Have you tried Sonic Generations? I had a lot of fun with this one. There is also the Sonic Generations - Unleashed Project mod on moddb for it that plays very well too. If you haven't tried it, give it a whirl, may change your opinion. I haven't tried the other 3D sonic games, but Generations I highly recommend :)

Edit: I should mention that when I played this, it was on Win7. Although the game is marked as Gold in protondb, I haven't tried it linux. But if it does work well, it's a fun game for Sonic fans to have :)

Probably showing my age here, but I actually quite enjoyed Sonic Adventure back when it came out on Dreamcast (even as quirky as it was). After that I just couldn't find much of that original "Sonic feel" in any of the 3D games I tried.
