Reminder: Update your PC info for the next round of statistics updates

By - | Views: 19,981

This is the public once a month reminder to make sure your PC information is correct on your user profiles. A fresh batch of statistics is generated on the 1st of each month. Also a good reminder of our stats system for people who don't know about it.

You need to be logged in to see when you last updated your PC info!

You can see the statistics any time on this page.

PC Info is automatically purged if it hasn't been updated, or if you don't click the link to remain in for 5 years. This way we prevent too much stale data and don't hold onto your data for longer than required. If this is still correct and it has been a long time since you updated, you can simply click here to continue to be included. If this isn't correct, click here to go to your User Control Panel to update it!

While you're here: is there anything you want to see from this? Any big changes you think should be done? Things to make it more useful? Comment away.

It might be worth starting to list Cosmic as distinct from Gnome for those people that are using Pop. Cosmic obviously has a Gnome heritage but so do Cinnamon and Mate.

An option for secondary device would be rather nice, specifically if it's not limited to Steam Deck. Device-specific fields could be duplicated (Device 1 RAM, Device 1 CPU, Device 2 RAM, Device 2 CPU, etc).

As for special treatment for the Steam Deck (and potential future variations or other linux-based handhelds), why not create "Device 1 Preset"/"Device 2 Preset" dropdowns that would populate the device-specific fields with known info?

The preset field wouldn't need to be saved - just provide a quick way to fill out device info. That way if someone mods their steam deck to have slightly different specs, that can potentially be conveyed as well.

That would also support a future scenario where someone might have "Steam Deck 2" as primary and "Steam Deck" as secondary.
