It's itch.io Creator Day where they take no cut of sales

By - | Views: 25,488

The game store itch.io is having another Creator Day where they take no cut from sales. They also have a site-wide sale for the whole weekend. The Creator Day lasts until 7am, March 18th (UTC), so if you want to give that little bit of extra support to a game developer, now is a good time to do it.

Looking over what's available and on sale right now, here's some quick picks:

Need even more? I have a Best Linux Games collection with loads in there to take a look at.

The site-wide sale on itch.io ends Monday, March 20th at 5PM UTC.

itch is great, they let you set an custom fee, frm 1% to more.
at least they allowed last time i checked.
now they are charging 0 for a limited time... not a great difference if you already set it to 1, but still great...
its a shame we cant say the same about their payment processors (paypal or stripes, you chose)

I never participate in sales, but for Creator Day I decided to put my own game on "reverse" sale (so you could pay 50% more for Toytles: Leaf Raking (er, and let me know if you would rather I not link to my sale directly here), my leaf-raking business simulation strategy game) and with the caveat that I generally sell less than a handful of copies of a game in a given year, yesterday alone I sold more copies than I have in each of the last two years.

Plus itch allows buyers to pay more than asking price if they want, and so I've even gotten tips from those sales on top of the temporary bump in price.

Granted, I think each person who bought it was someone who knows me personally, so I don't anticipate the gracious tips to keep coming, but I think I'm a fan of itch.io's Creator Day. B-)
