The really interesting project NonSteamLaunchers to get all sorts of third-party launchers on Steam Deck like Battle.net, EA, Epic Games and more has now added support for Minecraft Launcher and fixed a lot of problems.

A project I recently showed off, because it can really simplify and speed up the process of installing all these various launchers directly with Proton and automatically add their shortcuts into Steam.

Since I last covered it there's been a few new releases, one of which included a contribution I made to make it work properly on desktop Linux too. As of the latest release they've also added support for Minecraft Launcher (for Java and Dungeons), fixed various bugs, optimized the code, improved compatibility across the board, added support for the Glyph launcher, added a new logo and many other small adjustments to make it work better.

I recently installed Heroic Games Launcher on Steam Deck, which was easy because of the flatpak package available. It runs like a charm on Steam Deck and it's a nice to play some good old games on Steam Deck :-)

I still can not get it to work properly for me. I post on the GitHub page. Battle.net will not install it just hangs. Looks like a great tool, just needs a bit more work.

Had the same issue. I removed Battle.net from the list and it stalled on GOG Galaxy. Gave up after about five attempts.

Sadly, I don't think there's any way to fix the EA app. It's a piece of junk.

**** EA. Mass Effect LE is now unplayable on PC for me thanks to their stupid ****ing launcher. Apologies for the profanity and ranting.

I’m a new deck owner and used this to install bnet and epic game store on my deck. It worked like a charm!

I’m curious though, I’ve seen different methods of installation referred to as heroic or Lutrus (I think), is this one of those or something separate? I really liked how easy it was to get everything installed and plan on coming back to get Minecraft and GOG going as well.

Hey! Welcome to GOL!

Heroic and Lutris are separate from NonSteamLaunchers - they're full-featured programs in their own right, though you can also use them to achieve the same goals.
