Here's the most popular Steam Deck games for September 2023

September has come and gone, the summer season has wound down, and spooks now rule the roost. But before the spooks can take hold; Valve dropped the Top 20 Most Played Steam Deck Games for September 2023.

Baldur's Gate 3 has kept it's top place, but Starfield is expectedly nipping at its toes. Cyberpunk 2077 has rocketed into third place; most likely due to its 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty expansion. Leaving FromSoftware's Elden Ring and Armored Core VI comfortably within fourth and fifth place respectively.

The usual suspects like Vampire Survivors and GTA V are all still going steady; though Hades is dangerously close to falling out of the running entirely. Maybe October will see it fall off but only time will tell.

Of course, the question now is what will wind up on the Top 20 list for October 2023. Personally I have my bets hedged for either Party Animals, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2, or maybe Forza Motorsport depending on how it performs. I think Cities Skylines II will be out too late in the month to make a dent but will show up in November: like Sea of Stars did this month.

Either way the Top 20 is, and can be, anyone's game.

A humble Steam Deck owner and fledgling Linux user in general. I've always been interested in Linux replacing Windows as the primary PC gaming OS. But it was always a mess of frustration, drivers, and not knowing which kernel was best. When SteamOS3 and Steam Deck hit the scene however, I realized the true potential of Linux as a gaming platform. Currently am running PopOS.

Well, I gave it my single-handed level best trying to get Super Bomberman R 2 on there after it launched on the 13th, but it clearly wasn't to be, haha.

Hades was an excellent game. But I feel it's one of those where you play it through to the end, then put it down. It's not really one of those games where you rack up thousands of hours.

You're one hardcore Bomberman R fan; you should make a game inspired by it.
RDR2 needs active content updates so playerbase will skyrocket with such a great game.

I'm no game-designer or programmer, but maybe someday - we do have the likes of GDevelop, after all!

So basically you are telling me to give it another chance? I have quit playing it after 3-4 hours and never came back.
