ARC Raiders developers Embark Studios have given the game a fresh content drop, along with news about anti-cheat changes coming to the game.

Currently, it uses Easy Anti-Cheat with Anybrain machine learning, but they've announced that starting today (May 19) a gradual rollout of Denuvo Anti-Cheat will also be coming to ARC Raiders. They won't be using Denuvo DRM just the anti-cheat. Hopefully this won't cause any problems for Linux / SteamOS players, because it currently runs perfectly and is one of the few in the genre that works on Linux.

What's new in the patch:

  • New Trader - Ermal.
  • New Weapon - Rascal (Grenade Launcher).
  • Mod Improvement: Extended Barrel.
  • End of Round Changes.
  • The Sandveil Set.
  • Facial Hair Style - Sideburns.
  • The Sheath Set will be available on June 2nd.

The new trader is an interesting one that will allow you to exchange high-value ARC materials and any stockpiled rare weapons for expanded stash space, Expedition Vault access and offer a weekly rotation of cosmetics, blueprints, raider tokens and gameplay progression items.

Other highlights:

  • Fixed an issue where players would be teleported when standing on destroyed ARC parts.
  • Reduced the power cost of Photoelectric Cloak from 10/s to 5/s.
  • Weapon durability adjustments.
  • Queen and Matriarch will now more often step over things than through them, reducing the amount of times players suffer unfair knockback.
  • Added an option to block players after reporting.

See more in the patch notes.

Very glad I didn't pick this up, given how I feel about Denuvo.

at least it's not the DRM I guess but anything Irdeto puts out as far as I'm concerned is akin to digital smallpox and I ain't interested

Does it run on Mac? EAC + no native is a blocker for macOS because there is no Proton EAC runtime equivalent for Mac. However with Denuvo it might run.
