JSAUX revealed an upgraded transparent RGB Docking Station

If you've got a Steam Deck, an ROG Ally, a Lenovo Legion Go or whatever else is going from the likes of AYANEO and GPD you may want to look into the new upgraded transparent RGB Docking Station from JSAUX.

Much like the previous version you can get two different models with varying connections. Not only have they given it a transparent casing, which looks really slick, but they've upgraded the internals as well to offer ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), QFT (Quick Frame Transport) and HDR (High Dynamic Range). So it's quite a big spec boost to an already great little dock.

The models HB1201S ($99.99) and HB0801S ($69.99) are available for pre-sale, with expected shipping in mid-to-late January.

I actually have the original non-transparent one they sent over, and it is quite a nice little device with a lot of connections on it (the 12-in-1 version) that really does open up a lot of options when docking the Steam Deck regularly so I can happily suggest taking a look at the new upgraded transparent edition. My only gripe with it is the pull-out slot to actually put your handheld in feels just a little flimsy because of the thin plastic. Other than that - great.

Well, good for those that want it, I suppose. Honestly, I feel RGB has gone a bit too far in computers. Some can use it to great effect, I'll admit, but, more often than not, it really does just look like rainbow puke.

Sorry for the OT. The only useful purpose of RGB in my case is to distinguish the move/action/fight keys on my keyboard per game. Other than that I don't use RGB much.

Regarding the dock: I hate moving, easy to break plastic parts on any device. Same issue with toys nowadays. I have to admit though that I always loved translucent devices. If they would make the rails of the moving thing from metal and the plate from plastic, it might be a compromise price wise (say that three times in a row...).
