Ghostwire: Tokyo removed Denuvo Anti-Tamper

I know plenty of people skip over games with Denuvo Anti-Tamper, so for those who do you may wish to now take a look at Ghostwire: Tokyo.

For Linux and Steam Deck players, it can be a special nuisance since it can end up entirely locking you out of games for a day or so when switching around Proton versions. And if you play on both PC and Steam Deck (or other handhelds), that can cause quite a problem when trying to get games to work well as you try different things. So now it shouldn't be a problem.

You can see the update noted on SteamDB showing its removal, with the developer and publisher being silent on it. Most games get it removed eventually, since they need to keep paying for it, eventually it's not worth it once a game is past its prime.

You're correct that this game was given away for free on Amazon and Epic and I remembered picking up a copy on Epic not too long ago.

That was one of the most obnoxious cases, adding it a year after its release. I bought it before they added denuvo, and uninstalled it once they did. Now I could reinstall and continue playing it I guess.

I tried installing this on my steam deck but could not get the game to launch for the life of me. Free EGS key installed and launched via heroic launcher. Maybe it will work now that DRM is removed.
Anybody have any recent experience launching this with heroic? Does it work yet? And if it does work and play is the performance still pretty rough?

I wonder if the game can run outside of steam, just from the game exe using a Lutris prefix..
I played Scars Above using that method.
