Pocketpair have announced the big free update for Palworld named Feybreak is set for launch on December 23, as they continue battling Nintendo. If you missed it they're also doing a Terraria crossover.
Additionally, a major gameplay mechanic was changed recently with how you summon your Pals. In an update in November they made it so instead of throwing a Pal Sphere at a specific point to summon one, they're now always summoned next to the player. This was probably a change made in relation to the Nintendo lawsuit.
For the major Feybreak update the developers simply announced: "The new mysterious island is the largest and harshest in Palworld's history. The island is about six times the size of Sakurajima, which was added in the last major update! A powerful faction leader and many vicious new species of Pals lurk here."
