Welcome to May 2025 readers! Here's your little reminder that GamingOnLinux is primarily funded by readers - that's you! And as always we need your support.

We're coming up on 16 years in operation this July, which still feels pretty insane to actually write. Hopefully we can continue for another 16 and beyond! Thank you to everyone reading, commenting, sending in tips and leaving comments!

Want to help support GamingOnLinux? See below!

Firstly, the best way is regular support via Patreon. For Patreon, a suggestion is to pledge around the start of a month, as it charges at the beginning of every month (although that is changing at the end of this year to the date you started each month). Generally the Patreon is just to have regular funding to keep bringing you the news.

All other donations, without any special rewards can be done by:

You can also bookmark and buy games using our affiliate/partner links (and they really do help!):

You can find all the links to support us on our dedicated page any time.

Recently our dedicated anti-cheat compatibility page has expanded to allow you to report a change in status for games, and to submit suggestions to be added to it. The links to each anti-cheat vendor page were also updated to use the vendor name in the URL, instead of our own database ID to make them clearer, like BattlEye for example. On top of that, you can even link people to a search on it like Call of Duty, and we're listing games clearly that only work on Steam Deck now too. Hopefully you find this page useful for checking at a glance if an online game that has anti-cheat works or not on Linux Desktop / Steam Deck.

Thank you again for reading and supporting GamingOnLinux!

Don't forget you can follow across Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, WhatsApp and RSS. Be sure to join the community on Discord to chat with others too.

A pity that the statistics have been canceled. )-:

The stats served their purpose, and people were steadily using it less and less over time that it just didn't really feel like it was relevant any more. I'll most likely run some dedicated stats for people over the years instead so people can still get a good look at what systems our readers are running.
